In this game, we get this pov through the protagonist trying to find peace with her fear and trauma while also trying to find her father's justice through herself. This game also shows how the brain wires in different ways due to diffrent traumas and how that wiring can not only affect the persons thoughts and feelings, but also their choices, health/mental health and life.
A long time ago, four towns got under attack for its population, power, and a threat that happen to a cult leaders special little girl. this power was rumoured to be the reason why everyone was strong, happy, or smart. But there would be this cult that would try steal it and rule the world as revenge, they believed they were the new gods that can make the world 'a better place, and make the power stronger' as they believed the towns weren't 'doing it right', and in a result of that, they would try to steal the power not only for leadership but for revenge.
The towns would be:
Eldenbrook (Inkys town)
Puddlewhim (Majdas town)
Dazey Town (Charlie's town)
Morrowsend (Alexies town)
There was 1 fighter from each town that came along to destroy the evil that overcame their towns.

A Blacksmith (From Puddlewhim)
A supporter (From Dazey town)
And a Knight (From Morrowsend)
their magic was earned as the chosen ones. Through generations one person out of the towns every 20 years holds this power as a role to defeat the leaders revenge and entitlement.
The necklace that Inky finds belonged to the most powerful cult leader, this necklace had the power from the fallen heros who couldn't defeat the cult leader. He has held their powers in that gem necklace as a throphy. The leader was one who of course destroyed towns...families.....everything. But the cult leader wasn't always a bad guy. He had a daughter once who tried to save the world herself but.....you can already tell that she didn't make it.....but that daughter had that exact same necklace to help her navigate through her adventure. She was always the type of person to give people 2nd chances, so when she was 14 (the same age as inky) she heard rumours about the 4 towns being a threat to her town, so she decided she'd travel all 4 towns to prove that the rumours were fake, and show everyone that the rumours are stupid, sad her father, found her dead near an abandoned meadow (Dazey town) fighting monsters, Wearing. The. Same. Necklace. As he grieved and grieved he started to lose it, he started going insane and delusional, deciding to start a cult in her honour. Now every 5 years he goes around destroying towns as.....a way to enact is revenge on the towns that wronged his daughter.
