In the second original Dragon Ball movie, ‘Sleeping Princess in Devil’s Castle’, Goku and friends are held captive by the main villain Lucifer in a stone wall while his plan to destroy the sun starts to culminate. However, his plan involves using the power of the full moon for this, and since Goku has his tail, this triggers a Great Ape transformation, freeing him and his friends from the wall, though they’re naturally scared out of their minds.

It’s pretty much identical to the first Great Ape transformation given it gets the cast out of a dire situation and inadvertently helps save the day before the gang cut off his tail in the exact same way as in the manga and anime. Here Goku gets a beefier, fat sort of look as he busts out before immediately becomes large and furred offscreen.
