Last week the new Resporter app was successfully launched. The app was mentioned at leading Dutch blogs like Marketing Facts and iPhone Club  

This resulted in a top 10 position for the app in the sports category of the Apple AppStore.

NFC is a new innovative technology for electronic devices to interact with each other. Coming to you new mobile in 2012!

NFC chips can be integrated in billboard to instantly let you find additional information. Also NFC will be integrated in future payment systems for contactless payments. 

You can also achieve some features of NFC with a QR-code but using NFC you don’t need QR-code prints and there is no need for a QR Code reader app. With NFC you can interact with a tag from 1cm to 4cm distance, and you do not need to have a app active to do this.

IKEA just contracted Bizzsms/Mailmission for the development of an application for the kitchen departments in all IKEA stores . The tool allows greeters in store to register visitors of the kitchen department using a tablet application. The prospects are assigned to a employee through the planning tool included in the tablet application.  The application improves customer service, registers the waiting time and order time and finally links all sales data to the employee.

Using a web application, the department, store and country managers can get an insight into real time sales performance statistics. Those statistics can be displayed on individual store level, product category and employee.   The sales data is imported from IKEA's local store database, partly through XML and partly through a direct database connection to allow an integration of several systems. All sales data is combined in the tool to display real time statistics about the sales performance of an individual store, product category and employee. 

The perception of performance is based on loading times, smoothness of transitions and animations, errors, and waiting times. The diagram below illustrates these factors: the “app” runs on a “mobile” device with certain technical capabilities  and a platform. In many cases, the app connects over a “network,” with a set coverage and standard, to a “back end.” The two factors at the top are heavily influenced by the decisions of the design and development team. The bottom two factors are constraints that need to be taken into account.

Currently we are developing Resporter. Resporter is a new social media platform for football players playing at an amateur level. The Resporter platform has an online website and a mobile app.

Players and fans can post comments and pictures during the match. Also actions like yellow cards and goals can be added during the match. Members of Resporter can follow teams, clubs, players and competitions to stay up to date about everything that is going on around the football fields.

Resporter connects to Twitter and Facebook to make an easy integration possible and to keep Twitter and Facebook friends up-to-date. Whenever a player scores a goal, the goal is already mentioned on the players Facebook before the players leaves the football field. 

This week, IntoApps will start a pilot of its new product: FashionWall. FashionWall allows retailers to display its collection on in-store screens or in the shopping window. Using a mobile app or website, visitors of the store and by-passers can instantly order products from the webshop. This integrates the bricks and clicks world, and allows the retailer to turn the store into a real life webshop after closing hours. Also, FashionWall makes store windows social by displaying social media messages and likes, resulting in more online attention for the brands and the collection. Not only can people interact using a mobile phone, through the use of Kinect it is possible to swype through the products by using hand gestures. 

Tomorrow, FashionWall will start a pilot in the city center of Tilburg. Shortly afterwards we will start enrolling this new innovation among large scale retailers and brands. 

FashionWall is a new product innovation based on the previous product LiveWall. LiveWall is a tool to display social media content on screens during events or as a narrowcasting solution. LiveWall is used by large B2C companies like RedBull, Nokia etc, but also for B2B purposes like for ABN AMRO, Rabobank and for example Deloitte.

Next monday PrivatAir will launch the Privat360 application created by Bizzsms. ProvatAir will launch the application at the EBACE 2012 Conference in Geneva, a special conference for business aviation. The application allows auditors to have an in-air audit and display results real time through a web application. 

Last week Bizzsms contracted Appropriate Communications and SeaIntel Maritime Analysis for the development of a new online portal for the shipping industry. Appropriate communications is a Belgian company focusing at PR services for the shipping industry. SeaIntel maritime intelligence is a Danish company providing shipping lines with the latest business intelligence.
