The princess had done it. She had forcefully removed him from his own home, mocked him with his own screeches, and dumped him in a lake against his will. If she thought he would be doing anything for her willingly after this, she was mistaken.
His screeches were cut off instantly by the rude shove into the lake. While the liquid filling his then open mouth and surrounding him was far from doing harm, the unpleasant feeling that came with it caused him to flail violently, moving towards the surface. A brief moment of thought went through his mind, curious as to what Beryl would think of a wet gem flailing towards shore, angrily spitting water. The idea would be funny in any other circumstance, if it wasnât him doing the flailing.
With a grunt, he drug himself back up on shore, dripping water and debating about screeching once again. With a slight tilt of his head and a gritting of his teeth, he turned to face Beryl.
"What. Are you doing. I told you I would walk here by myself "
âAnd yet you didnât start until it was too late.â She replied rather abruptly, her arms crossed back on the bank now, though the floating hand was on standby infront of her, not trusting Spinel to not come back with some sort of backlash that sheâd need to block him off from. She had to admit, the sight of the water logged gem crawling out of the water was one of the more amusing things sheâd seen for the past several weeks. âAre you forgetting the problem at hand here? Weâre trying to find a way off of this planet and back to the mission at hand. Weâre not here to play around in mud and clod knows what else.â She griped, arms crossing with her hip cocked to the side again, her bow no where in sight, fortunately. âIf you arenât going to work on actually bringing us back supplies, I donât even know why youâre on this mission in the first place!â
