The right-leaning leaders and ultra-rich have been looking at prompting some sort of constitutional convention as soon as they have the mix right—so that they can radically alter the fabric of America’s liberal democracy to a narrow theocracy/technocracy/oligarchy. That mix though involves solidifying power in states with small populations because when it comes to constitutional changes the small states still have outsized power.

So while the electoral college is an anachronism that really should disappear, starting to make fundamental constitutional changes could easily be argued as showing a need to make a lot of changes— and the proposals will include a lot that is far-right-leaning. The Right will play the rigged numbers game.

While left-leaning people do outnumber right-leaning people in America, the constitutional system isn’t about raw population.

Just one look at the US Senate now shows how the system is rigged to give tiny states outsized power. Unless those tiny states can be overwhelmingly turned consistently Blue, changing the US Constitution to alter the status quo that right now protects right-leaning and conservative viewpoints (including the desire for fascism that is entirely inconsistent with the foundational design put forth by the US Constitution) will be problematic to say the least.

Almost every MAGA argument has zero logic.

Fuck Trump. Also fuck anyone who tries to make America a Nazi-nationalist kind of place where people are allowed to break the law because others around them benefit from the criminality too.

Every accusation from MAGA is a confession.

The last election that Trump supposedly won does seem suspect. So maybe when Trump says the elections were rigged that’s true for his election. Maybe he wasn’t actually elected as he claimed.

Two very obvious things wrong with this:

Pork is being forced just as much as LGBT is. Pork is shown in TV shows, even in shows that aren't specifically about pork. Pork is served at most restaurants. People eat pork in public without caring who can see it. Children eat pork. Someone who doesn't like pork has to accept that if they go out in public, they will see people eating pork. No one's forcing anyone to eat pork and no one's forcing anyone to marry someone of the same gender.

Nobody is forcing pork on anyone.

Because no matter how you slice it the decision to stop working will result in financial consequences given the predominant capitalistic systems in the world.

Maybe it’s not retirement that needs an overhaul.
