I don't think we've interrogated the fact that one of Sonya's first actions in the entire story was rigging up a trash compactor above the seat of the only person at the poker table to use a prosthetic and then trying to casually chat with Rodion immediately after killing someone enough yet. Plus, with his comment beforehand of how it's pointless to just cut off a prosthetic hand, he seems to be saying that the life of a prosthetic user is equal in value to a flesh-and-blood hand. I think it really says a lot when people say "fandom is supposed to be fun" and roll their eyes when racism is being brought up because they see it as a nothing burger. I think it really says a lot when the extremely valid complaints and concerns from fans of color are grouped with other unnecessary fandom drama and swept aside. I think it really says a lot when people think fans of color being angry are being aggressive and are ruining the fandom experience. I think it really says a lot that fans of color notice this pattern of behavior and are always told "it's not that deep."
