A lone howl in the dark, a creature mourns a death. None hear its cry save for itself, yet even the beast cannot hear clearly. It watches. It does not look away. It watches a world full of life fade and crumble, until not even a spark remains. It watches the light that sustained this world flicker. It watches.

The creature takes a step, a ripple is made where its foot is. As if standing on a sea, more ripples are created as the creature begins to walk. Everything- Life, light, sound -has faded away as the creature walks. A new light shines in the dark sky, brighter than any other. It picks up speed, bounding toward this new light.

Woooooooooooooooooooooo!

Step...           Step...                      Step...

Shoes clacking with each step as the ground changed from dirt to stone, signaling their arrival at the church. It felt so empty and barren, it was perhaps too much to take in the deafening silence when only yesterday it was filled with voices and laughter. They didn’t like it, their face shifting to a slight frown to signify this fact. Not that anyone could point out the subtle change in expression. And so they continued.

They soon came to a set of stairs, hand gently touching the railing as they paused a moment. Only a moment, soon continuing on and climbing up. It was here were the promise was made, to see the ones they once called their students after five years had passed. And they blinked, ears finally picking up a bit of noise. Focusing on the sound, the sound of voices could be discerned. And their eyes lit up.

They remembered!

They ran the rest of the way up, turning the corner and stopping dead in their tracks. It was dark, and light was shining through which made it hard to see, but for a moment they saw their kids again. Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude, all in their school uniforms.

“Professor!!“ “Teach!!“

A trio of voices rang out, and their eyes blurred a moment as they adjusted to the light. The image faded, replaced now by much older versions of their students. They all looked so much different, the one they called professor/teach was taken aback. But they didn’t have much time to process it all, as they were suddenly attacked by a three-pronged attack hug from the trio of former students.

“I knew it, I told you two Teach was still alive.“ “I had similar thoughts too, Claude, but I couldn’t let myself be bound by them.“ “I always feared the worst, but...“

New idea: Rika making an ai unit to help with her experiments. Would likely lend whatever weapons she makes along with the ai to help the buyer use it properly.

I dreamed I was in the afterlife after dying. It started with me in my room, opening the door to step out and coming into a hallway like a hotel, doors everywhere. Someone was guiding me to the end of the hall. I open that door and I see what looks like a doctor’s office. I’m told to sign in, and I do, and I’m given a long white cloak with a red shirt underneath, sewn into it, going easily over the clothes i already have on. Another guide comes in, and I’m finally going outside.

I look back, and the building I was just in looked like a big shared office space. I look around and it’s at the end of some huge road. There’s even parked cars in a lot on one side. Nothing on the other. And it’s around this point I start to wake up. I don’t remember what was said to me, but I remember asking:

“So, this is it huh? The afterlife?“
