The supermetal bedrock at the bottom of the island preventing them from digging deeper, the existence of beings that destroy the island completely for seemingly no reason stored deep underground, the two moon skylights in metru nui, etc.

i know 2025 is a weirdly late time to think about this but the matoran letters being primarily made up of circles is Really Nifty given being a technic subtheme left bionicle with a visual motif of repeated, uniform circular holes in everything.
