Elements of the painting are: Politics, #SayHerName, and men & women who been killed by police. From Basquiat era, Micheal Stewart to today, Tony Robinson. I could go on forever in regards to these senseless deaths and these generational injustices, but I will save it for another time.

It was a really hard piece for me, I was physically ill at times painting it. I don’t know how Artist go about opening themselves up like that often. I could only do something like this maybe once or twice a year. It was painful. I wanted to replace the swastika with words. But my gut says leave it there. The visceral feeling I have looking at it is what the audience needs to feel. I wanted to challenge myself and I did. But I did not expect all the emotions.
