Name: William Allen "Billy" Fry
Age / DOB: Thirty-seven / July 11, 1910
Gender: Cis male
Pronouns: He/him
Sexuality: Gay
Relationship status: Married to Scarlett Alexander
Occupation: Stage and screen actor
According to his mother, the Fry family always knew their son was destined for great things. At least that's what she says now. The truth is much less sentimental: an oldest son who started out as a bit of a disappointment. The family had long had a foothold in the upstate New York town that they had claimed as home for generation, with a generational family business that Billy was supposed to inherit.
His calling was found in his high school years instead, when he first landed on a stage in a leading role. He was captivated by the medium of acting, the ability to tell a story and become someone, something else. It allowed him to escape his anxiety and frustration, shifting into a confident state of mind. To his father's disappointment, he shifted off the mantle of expectation to go to New York for his artistic pursuits instead. First, drama school; then, the Broadway stage.
He preferred stage work, if he could get it, but there was no denying the allure of the pictures, and so he followed many of the other actors of his generation and headed west, landing in Los Angeles fresh off his stage success. It hardly took long for him to encounter Scarlett Alexander, a sweetheart of the silver screen, and they instantly took a liking to each other. They recognized something in each other, a variance from society's norms and expectations. A friendship blossomed into a mutual promise of protection. They vowed to take care of one another, and proposing only seemed to make too much sense. How the public resist such a beautiful, promising couple, after all?
In truth, Billy knows his relationship with Scarlett, genuinely warm as it is, is only another piece of the facade that is his life. He throws himself into the roles he gets in Hollywood dramas, where his talent truly shines. He can change into anyone and anything that's asked of him on screen, and increasingly, when he's in the public eye, he feels he's playing another role. He's one half of one of Hollywood's it-couples, and he knows how to smile and charm.
At the end of the day, though, he knows he's really something else: a shy, nervous boy who feels more like he's playing pretend to make everyone else happy. Stardom has brought its joys, but also its downsides: forcing him to hide the most authentic parts of himself for fear of being seen as something the world around him isn't ready to accept.

@ovrdrivess (scarlett alexander), at the hollywood race track
There was no denying that the Fry-Alexanders were quite literally shining in the afternoon sunlight. Both impeccably dressed, bright-eyed and golden-haired, Billy was aware of how many eyes were landing on them. He always believed that was more Scarlett's doing, and no more so than today, considering the way her dress glittered. Wasn't it a pity, he couldn't help thinking in a moment of introspection, that her own husband was perhaps the only person in the vicinity who wasn't in love with her?
He was, nevertheless, a gentleman as he escorted her to their seats, his arm extended to guide her. "I'm still not sure where to place my bet," he mused aloud, glancing toward the track. That he was going to bet was never in question, but race betting was never his strong suit. He vastly preferred card games, where he at least could feign some sense of control. "Lady Lace might be promising today. But if you have a preference, I'm all ears." He met Scarlett's gaze and his own softened somewhat, with a playful smile tugging on the corners of his lips. "You know I always heed your advice."
