My buddies from the band Pinch, playing their tune "Dawn Patrol". Hope you guys enjoy our friends band.Â
Billy Chapman Band plays "Looking For A Better Way", one of our oldies!
We released an album back in 1994 self titled "A Million Tiny Fingers" when JP and I were in that band. This is the first track, I think we rock it. Hope you guys enjoy.
Gratefulness...
I was on the internet this morning, and a young man followed me on Twitter. His twitter name is @gratitude4eva, and it was good to see someone still remembers that this is even a word. It seems lately all I hear is whining and complaining from people who have plenty of everything. I have seen people with nothing, in other countries. There are people who are afraid of their spouses, there are people being held captive at home, and abroad. There are people who can't walk in the streets of their town without the fear of being killed, as they live in a war zone. There are billions of people on this planet who have never gone to the bathroom in a toilet, or had real drinking water, or a safe place to learn, or live.
There are people who have just lost a family member, a brother, sister, father, mother, son, daughter, grandparent. They are living their lives, minding their own business. They live out their grief and move on. We all have to do it, sooner or later. There are people that are just plain lonely, or depressed, and they need someone to talk to. I know that we all take for granted what we have, from time to time, and that is normal. If we look around us, we can see the need in others.Â
Life is fickle, and doesn't care about your feelings. I recently was involved in a motorcycle accident with my daughter, Rowan. She is eight years old, and we were riding bikes together, when her bike broke and I had to tow her out of the woods. We got thrown from the bikes when she picked one side of a tree, and I picked the other. I remember being thrown through the air and looking over, seeing her hitting the ground, too. We were very fortunate to have not suffered any injuries, thanks to wearing all of our protective gear. At the ER, having gotten the all clear from the doctors, I could breathe again. I never want to see my daughter in a neck brace on a backboard, again. We will be more careful, next time.
I know what I am thankful for, a healthy, pretty damn happy family! Let's all try to be grateful for what we have, today. Thanks, @gratitude4eva!

Entering the Amphitheater at Suwanee Springfest while Donna the Buffalo is playing a couple weeks back. DTB is one of my favorite live bands, ever! Check 'em out. Definitely worth a listen!Â
Check out me and the boys playing last Saturday at Key West Bar in Indialantic, FL. One of my old tunes with a New Orleans Twist! Enjoy......
Hey, boys and girls.Â
My first guitar lesson, Goin' to California by Zeppelin. Going over the fingerpicking, chords, and all parts. I have a video of me playing this song at our youtube channel BCB11000. A friend up in GA named Fred at Stone Garden Farms asked for a lesson, so I decided to throw down for him. Hope you guys like it.
Hey, guys. Just a quick note for a killer cause. My drummer, John Paul and I recently played a fund raiser for the Sebastian Florida chapter of the Surfrider Foundation on January the 8th. We had a great time with our fellow surfers and beach lovers and I was hoping to get more people involved in this most worthy cause.Â
The Surfrider Foundation itself is a global organization dedicated to creating clean beaches and water everywhere using activism and education. Doing beach cleanups and and trying to ban plastic shopping bags are just some of the things this great organization is doing. Check out this other video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKhTZm5i8bY&feature=related for more info, and have a killer day!

stay-human:
These corporations, if they were individual human beings, would be locked up for life. Instead, they continue raking in the big bucks. Human rights abuses, murder, war, eco disasters, and animal exploitation keep these evil companies raking in the green. Prepare to be disgusted.
I don’t think the list is in any particular order. Even if you don’t agree with all of them (eg. the cigarette company) most of them are legit horrible. I’m posting a summary but I recommend reading the full article: http://brainz.org/15-deadliest-us-corporations/
Chevron : (then Texaco) discharged 18 billion gallons of toxic water into the rain forests of Ecuador without any remediation, destroying the livelihoods of local farmers and sickening indigenous populations. Chevron was responsible for the death of several Nigerians who protested the company’s polluting, exploiting presence in the Nigerian Delta. Chevron paid the local militia, known for its human rights abuses, to squash the protests, and even supplied them with choppers and boats. The military opened fire on the protesters, then burned their villages to the ground. Â
DeBeers : was knowingly funding violent guerrilla movements in Angola, Sierra Nevada, and the Congo with its diamond purchases. In Botswana, DeBeers has been blamed for the “clearing” of land to be mined for diamonds — including the forcible removal of indigenous peoples who had lived there for thousands of years. The government allegedly cut off the tribe’s water supplies, threatened, tortured and even hanged resisters.
Tyson : Even if you don’t care about the horrendous animal abuse that has been documented in Tyson’s factory farms, you have to flinch at Tyson’s appalling environmental abuses and workers’ rights violation- Tyson has allowed e coli tainted beef to enter the food supply. A recent study showed that Tyson’s chickens were the most salmonella-and-campylobactor filled poultry of all the major suppliers and has even been accused of human trafficking to supply themselves with cheap labor. Â
Smith & Wesson : In a study of the top ten guns involved in crime in the U.S., the first was the Smith & Wesson .38 Special.
Phillip Morris : is the largest manufacturer of cigarettes in the U.S.
Haliburton : is a huge “oilfield services” company, profited big time from the U.S.’s invasion of Iraq when Cheney called in his boys to quell burning oil wells — and to “help” the Iraq oil ministry pump and distribute oil. Haliburton has also been implicated in countless oil spills, including the BP disaster of 2010.Â
Coca Cola : corporation has wrought devastation in India, where its factories use up to one million liters of water per day, leaving tens of thousands of nearby residents dry during the drought months. Then the factories dispose of the wastewater improperly, contaminating whatever water is left. A lawsuit in 2001 accused Coca Cola of hiring paramilitaries in Columbia which suppressed unionization in the cola plant there through intimidation, torture and murder.
Pfizer : the largest pharmaceutical corporation in the U.S., pleaded guilty in 2009 to the largest health care fraud in U.S. history. Pfizer decided to use Nigerian children as guinea pigs. In 1996, Pfizer traveled to Kano, Nigeria to try out an experimental antibiotic on third-world diseases such as measles, cholera, and bacterial meningitis. They gave trovafloxacin to approximately 200 children. Dozens of them died in the experiment, while many others developed mental and physical deformities. According to the EPA, Pfizer can also proudly claim to be among the top ten companies in America causing the most air pollution.
ExxonMobil : is perhaps best known for the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill which resulted in 11 million gallons of oil contaminating Prince William Sound. But they have also been responsible for a huge oil spill in Brooklyn and for aiding in the decline of Russia’s critically endangered grey whale because of drilling in its habitat. The Political Economy Research Institute ranks ExxonMobil sixth among corporations emitting airborne pollutants in the United States.
Caterpillar : supplies the Israeli army with bulldozers which are used to demolish Palestinian homes — sometimes with the people still inside. In 2003 a Caterpillar bulldozer ran over and killed Rachel Corrie, an American protesting in Gaza who stood in front of the tractor to prevent the destruction of a Palestinian home.
Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily : “The Cruelest Show on Earth” is famous for its abuse of wild animals.
Monsanto : Monsanto’s list of evils includes creating the “terminator” seed which creates plants which never fruit or flower so that farmers must purchase them anew yearly, lobbying to have “hormone-free” labels removed from the labels of milk and infant milk replacer (through bovine growth hormone is believed to be a cancer-accelerator) as well as a wide range of environmental and human health violations associated with use of Monsanto’s poisons — most notably “Agent Orange.”
Nestle : crimes against man and nature include massive deforestation in Borneo — the habitat of the critically endangered orangutan — to grow palm oil, and buying milk from farms illegally-seized by a despot in Zimbabwe. Nestle attracted worldwide boycott efforts for urging mothers in third-world countries to use their infant milk replacer instead of breastfeeding, without warning them of the possible negative effects. Supposedly, Nestle hired women to dress as nurses to hand out free infant formula, which was frequently mixed with contaminated water, or the children starved when the formula ran out and their mothers could not afford more and their breast milk had already dried up from disuse.
British Petroleum : Who can forget 2010’s oil rig explosion in the Gulf Coast which killed 11 workers and thousands of birds, sea turtles, dolphins and other animals, effectively destroying the fishing and tourism industry in the region? This was not BP’s first crime against nature. In fact, between January 1997 and March 1998, BP was responsible for a whopping 104 oil spills.
Dyncorp : is best known for its brutality in impoverished countries, for trafficking in child sex slaves, for slaughtering civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, and for training rebels in Haiti. This privatized military company is often hired by the U.S. government to protect American interests overseas — and so the government can claim no responsibility for Dyncorp’s actions.Â
So yeah.
I’m surprised Monsanto isn’t higher up on this list. I
This is a song called "Scattered Man" that I wrote at a time in my life when I wasn't sure which way things would go. I either had to get up, or stay down. I decided to get up and write this tune and carry on, and I haven't looked back.
It is funny how a song can take on a life of it's own. I think that songs are alive, they are created and make people happy, why not? Anyway, I wrote this to tell folks that, no matter how bleak things may appear right now, they can always get better if we keep on. I have had many reasons this last year to be very thankful about my health, family and business.
Life is shifty, and can change in a moment. What with oil spills, shipwrecks, people being held hostage in foreign lands (and here) and people having to live in war zones, we all have something to be thankful for. Â
This is a Chuck Brodsky tune I learned years ago to sing at a funeral for a dear friend. The message is so great, that I still sing this song all the time. I have always believed there are no accidents in the world when we meet people, and this is a well written example of this belief. The album this came from is called "A Finger Painters' Mural" and is a killer listen for anyone loving the acoustic folk/story song genre.Â
Thank you for dropping by, and I hope that you enjoy my humble version of this great song. If you do, let me know, or share it with your friends!
This is a song called in the moonlight. I tell the story of how I wrote it when I play it out, from time to time. You see, Karen and I were hanging out one night before we had kids (ten or more years ago) and got into an argument, which she won. Then she went to bed without saying goodnight, leaving me sitting there in the living room by myself. I was still angry and wanted to "write out" my feelings and ended up writing this little tune.Â
I've really enjoyed playing this song, over the years and I hope you enjoy sharing this piece of my life. If you like it, share it with your friends, or leave me a comment and let me know!
Thanks for watching, everybody!
New Year, old news.
You know, it's crazy how we think before Christmas time that our lives will some how be better in the new year. We will begin that diet or that workout routine, clean the garage, get organized, etc. It's kind of like when I took my son surfing in Costa; I thought somehow I would magically be a better surfer because the waves there are so clean and nice. Actually, if you suck at surfing at your break, you still suck when you are in Costa!Â
That's okay, I'm learning to accept not being a perfect surfer. I just want to be a grateful one.
Bottom line, it's what you do that makes a difference. Not what you think.Â

A quick video of me and the boys playing this old sixties hit "She's Not There" by The Animals. Cover Song, I do not own the rights to this song.
Thanks for watching!
I took my son, Conor and my daughter, Rowan out to the Compound on Sunday to enjoy some fresh air, sunshine and cool weather with our friend Brett and his son, Nick. We had a killer time running around on our bikes. On the video you can see her (in pink) on her yellow bike (it used to belong to our friend Bretts' son Nick, pictured here on his new yellow bike riding with Conor). You can clearly see when I go around the back of the bike where she had just broken off the back fender trying to wheelie the bike! Luckily she did not sustain any permanent injuries in her misadventure.Â
