bill headcanons please!!! (within your universe)
Some of my headcanons with Bill verge into spoiler territory or are something I might introduce into the plot later but here are some of the ones I CAN share.
CW for mentions of drugs.
- Bill absolutely HATES the Axolotl. At the same time, he’s also intimidated by him because the Axolotl, if He so desired, could crush Bill like a bug. He wants to avoid his attention altogether and would be happy to pretend the Axolotl doesn’t exist.
- Incredibly curious by nature. Bill loves seeking out new experiences and new things both as a coping mechanism and because it’s fun. After a trillion years in the multiverse and with the added power of omniscience, some of the excitement has gone out of his life, so he looks for strange creatures to surprise him. The weirder the better.
- Regularly and enthusiastically abuses substances. He’s not particularly picky which ones so long as they’re strong. One thing that hasn’t gotten old is warping his perception of reality. Bill, unfortunately, is also incredibly volatile when he’s high. He can go from laughing and joking one minute, to violent fits of rage, or sinking into disassociative states the next. It’s a toss up how he’ll react and the henchmaniacs have learned to tip-toe around him.
- Even as a human, Bill tends to enjoy things to the furthest extreme. He enjoys foods that are incredibly sweet, spicy, or sour. He likes his music loud and strange, usually favoring annoying ear worm songs, experimental sounds, or aggressive angry music. He tends to have obsessive moods where he’ll get fixated intensely on something he likes until he grows bored of it and moves on to something else. The same normally goes for people too.
- Bill loves watching reality TV. Mabel got him into it and he loves every bit of the messy drama that comes from dating and competition shows. He always roots against the fan favorites and enjoys whatever will cause the most chaos. Ironically, he’s also a big fan of rom coms. “To make fun of them” so he claims….
- Bill sees Ford as a true kindred spirit. They’ve both been ostracized and mocked for their abnormality, they both desire power and knowledge, they both have the same brand of humor and similar quirks. Stanford is all the things Bill thinks are best about himself. Stanley, on the other hand, is a mirror reflecting exactly who Bill is back at him, especially all the things he doesn’t like to see: someone who needs other people, but often ends up alone. Someone who defines themself by their mistakes. That’s why he loves Ford and hates Stanley.
- Part of Bill’s magic is innate to his being, specifically his ability to create fire, and he has a strong connection with that element moreso than any other. He enjoys regularly incinerating his enemies to entertain himself.
- Bill’s power is such that he qualifies for God status in the multiverse. There are very few other beings who can rival his abilities and even fewer who would seek him out for a fight. He reigns supreme over the Nightmare Realm. Completely unquestioned and all other powerful entities in that place do his bidding under penalty of death and torture. Bill is very creative with those and no one wants to risk it.
- Bill, more than anything else, is always looking for control in any given situation. He doesn’t like giving anyone power over him in any way and will go to great lengths to avoid subjugating himself. He also has serious problems with authority and any stringent rule of law. He prefers anarchy, absolute freedom and chaos, because these systems often benefit him.
- Bill’s two biggest love languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch.
- Bill often tries to use his powers in human form and forgets he doesn’t have them, which looks like him making strange gestures or having a tic to people who don’t understand what he’s trying to do.
- Bill thinks his best feature as a human is his brain or his teeth.
- Bill hated being touched for most of his life and preferred to initiate contact with others in a possessive or controlling way.
- Bill’s knowledge in human form is incredibly spotty compared to what he used to know. His knowledge of human history, biology, and culture is mixed up and random. He’s not sure exactly what technology humans have developed in the time period he’s living in, if large predators still hunt humans as part of their regular diet, and if witches are still being burned. He’s still a genius when it comes to mathematics and science after spending so many years using it.
- Bill misses being able to see Fordtramarine more than any other color.
And there you have it! Bill headcanons for your ravenous appetites 😉 More will be revealed about our favorite triangle the deeper we get into this fic….
