ingat, Nak. di luar sana ada banyak sekali sumber masalah. bahkan, tanpa kita datangi sekalipun, masalah hidup itu akan datang silih berganti dengan sendirinya. maka, jadilah seseorang yang selalu siap menemani pasanganmu dan anak-anakmu dalam menghadapi dan menyelesaikan itu semua. jangan beri kesempatan masalah itu ikut meretakkan yang ada di dalam. jangan beri kesempatan sampai ada orang lain yang berperan lebih besar untuk menyelesaikan masalah–itu sungguh sumber masalah yang lebih besar lagi.”

“siap, Yah. besok-besok kalau sudah menikah, pokoknya kalau tidur aku cuma peluk suami, bukan peluk masalah. hahaha…”

Why am I pointing this out? Try counting and see the problem. Notice the problem? Malaysia has 13 states, why are there 14 stripes you ask?

The 14th is Singapore, Malaysian flag changed after merge, including all merged states.

Malaysia still kept their flag design ever since Singapore expulsion. Let’s just say, it is too painful to remove it..

Ryan Gosling became famous because he was ‘not handsome’ and nobody else wanted his role in The Notebook. In case some of you have been wondering: Ashley Johnson is the voice of Ellie Williams, the most badass 14 y/o girl out there in the vide games universe. Ellie was born into a destroyed world after a deadly virus outbreak infected and killed tons of people. So basically she has to cross the country from Boston to Utah ON FOOT and on her way she encounters a lot of heavy shit and she swears a lot because zombies are serious stuff. 

The Last Of Us is my favorite game and I’ve played it at least 10 times in both ps3 and ps4 and this game is the main reason I started watching Blindspot. 

So every time Patterson said something, all I could think of was Ellie and her sassy mouth. If you ever get the chance to play this game, and you’re also from the Blindspot fandom, you’ll never stop thinking about Patterson.

With ‘Pokémon Go,’ Niantic created a safe space for black female gamers — and I miss it

Pokémon Go was the first title that I played in years which granted me a somewhat-fearless experience in gaming. It allowed me to cast aside some personal doubts, misgivings and assumptions about myself and other people. Not once was I judged for being an adult playing a “kids game”; there were no snide comments about me being a woman in a space that was occupied mostly by men.

The environment was devoid of racist remarks about me being a black player. The unchangeable aspects of myself — the parts of me that were always a “cause” for disruption in other games — weren’t factors among Pokémon Go players. I was just always a fellow player, to whom ridiculous questions like “Do you want to run 12 blocks and three avenues with me to catch a Dragonite?” would be asked.

During my time playing regularly, the Pokémon-obsessed people of New York — comprised of scores of high school kids, financial analysts, journalists, artists, delivery service guys, somebody’s grandparents (seriously), entrepreneurs and more — became my second family.

At first I felt I might have looked the most out of place, based on the fact that I was one of the few women in the streets playing this game who looked like me. But I quickly came to realize that none of that mattered: Pokémon Go created an unlikely safe space in gaming that didn’t exist for me anywhere else.

I was part of that inaugural force of people that made the mobile game into a movement; I invested inordinate amounts of time (and some money) into being the best there ever was. But I haven’t played the game since March, and I wonder if I should find my way back. Read more (Opinion)
