I wonder how many people turned into media characters when they saw the Visitor.
You know, I don't even hate how I look. It's sick as fuck actually.
It's just that the length is inconvenient and. . . What happened with the other heads. . .
Those are the only problems I've really had that I haven't been able to solve on my own.
Did you ever have tattoos before the visitor and if so did they transfer into your mutant form?
I had a squid on my arm, a weird-core heart between my shoulder blades and a hydra on my lower back. They disappeared when I transformed, unfortunately. As far as I know, I mean. Maybe they're faded and twisted and in places I can't see? I dunno.
I think some of my skin-tone change came from my tattoos. I'm hoping to get them redone when I get the chance, and I'm hoping my body won't reject them and that they'll actually be visible against my skin.

There's a hesitant knocking coming from the door. Through the peephole, there's a teenager wearing jogging clothes and a delivery hat. He appears quite nervous, anxiously glancing back and forth down the hallway. "Uh. Is this the apartment of a Jeanne person? Some dude across the hall I delivered pizza to who had some big glasses and metal prosthetics said you could help me out, maybe. Please don't be a serial killer." - @fromageandflame
*After a moment of waiting, the door opens up, revealing the large hydra lady.*
Lyle sent ya? What do you need help with?
Elliot flinched slightly as Jeanne arrived, not expecting someone so massive to answer the door, let alone with so many teeth and eyes lining their body...face? Everything. Yeah, there was a serious issue going on with this apartment and now he was a part of it all—just his luck.
"Holy shit... uh, yeah. I'm kind of, uh... trapped here in this apartment now. I was delivering pizzas when a bus came crashing through the ground floor and now I can't get out... and from what people have told me... I can't uh, go outside anymore or shouldn't, even though I was outside earlier?" He thumbs in the direction of Lyle's door. "But uh, that Lyle dude said maybe I could stay here since... I don't live here and uh, don't have anywhere else to go. My name is Elliot."
For the most part the teenager seems lucid and harmless, minus spacing out mid conversation and trailing off. If anything, he's anxious about all the new Cursed he's been seeing, finding it harder and harder to play it off as him just being tired.
*Jeanne looks over Elliot at Lyles door. She supposed Lyle preferred not to have strangers living in his apartment. Understandably. Though, suggesting her as an option seemed like an odd choice.*
*Jeanne shrugs.*
Alright then. I trust Lyle.
*Jeanne scooches to the side, pushing her long body behind her.*
Be mindful of the- Uh. Me.
*Getting a better look at the apartment, Elliot sees how Jeannes body stretches far behind her and around the apartment. Most of it seems half-hazardly pushed out of the way, making clear pathes to what seems to be the most visited spots of the apartment. *
Elliot cautiously steps into the apartment and takes a moment to take in how massively long Jeanne is. Would he have to worry about her turning and slamming him against the wall, or tossing in her sleep and flattening him into paste?
"You don't have to worry about me. I uh, don't take up much space. I just need somewhere soft to rest my head and hopefully a place to shower this long... day... night... off." He gesture vaguely at the sheer amount of Jeanne everywhere. "Uh... do you need help moving bits of... you around? I can help before I settle in as a thank you for letting me stay here."
*Jeanne couldn't help but find the irony of "I don't take up much space." She couldn't help but chuckle a bit.*
Don't worry about it. I don't think I'm too much in the way.
If I am, just let me know before you touch me. It feels. . . Weird.
*Jeanne looks around the room and points things out.*
There's the living room area and the kitchen area, obviously. That's the bathroom, and that's my bedroom.
Preferably, stay outta my bedroom unless there's an emergency or if I say you can for whatever reason.
He glances around the apartment, nodding along as each thing was pointed out. The first thing he wanted to do was take a shower after everything... though there was a problem. "Uh… I kind of have two questions. Do you have, uh, anything I could borrow to wear? I wasn't expecting to be in this apartment this long. And can I use your shower?" He blinks a little as she mentions her bedroom. "Oh, and I know better. I'm not one to go into someone's bedroom without them giving me the go-ahead, uh… ma'am. I'll be sticking to the couch, and I wouldn't touch anyone without asking anyway. I was raised better than that."
Eww, don't call me ma'am. That makes me feel old.
*Jeanne laughs. She supposes it makes sense, since this is a teen and she's in her later 20s. But it's a little too soon for her to start feeling like one of those cool punk grandmas.*
Just call me Jeanne.
And yeah, you can use the shower. I'll grab you a t-shirt and sweats.
Elliot began to relax a little at her words. It seemed that Jeanne was actually more laid-back than he had thought, which was a good sign. He didn’t want to accidentally put his foot in his mouth and get kicked out for being too lax or crass, a habit he often got into when he was off his shift and hanging out with friends.
"Aww, thanks dude. Much appreciated. Uh, before I pop in there, is there anything off limits like certain soaps or shampoo? I've got kind of a... situation underneath this hat."
Use whatever you need to.
*Jeanne talks as she makes her way to her room, grabbing the first shirt and sweats she could see from her drawers. A large band t-shirt and dark grey sweats. She tosses them to Elliot.*
I'm pretty sure there's a brush on the counter too, if you need it.
Elliot stumbles over himself as he catches the clothes mid-toss, not expecting it. He takes a moment to look at the band shirt, though he doesn’t seem to recognize it. He hoped her music taste wasn't awful. "Uh, thanks Jeanne. I shouldn't take too long. I'll probably skip the brush... I think I'd uh, kill it by accident. Just need to keep it hydrated and conditioned after a day of working." He makes his way over to the bathroom and closes the door behind himself, the sounds of the shower running turning on shortly after.
*As Elliot gets in the shower, Jeanne grabs a blanket and a pillow from the closet and sets them on the coffee table for later. For now, she sits back and puts a show on as she thinks. Should she make something to eat for the kid? She's wasn't great, but she'd hate for him to go hungry.*
*She contemplates for a minute, trying to think of what she even has on-hand. She goes over and knocks on the bathroom door.*
Hey, do you like spaghetti? I think I'm gonna cook some up if you want some.
Elliot doesn't respond immediately to her question. He seems to be halfway through his shower when she asks it. Eventually, he opens the door, wearing the clothes she gave him that were a little big on him, while his dirty clothes, including his hat, are set off to the side.
Now that he had cleaned, conditioned and hydrated his hair and wasn't wearing his delivery cap, he had a mound of curly light brown hair that was beginning to gain volume as it dried off. This was just another anomaly to go along with his bright blue eyes and darker skin, though the mystery of why his hair appeared straight at the back and in other areas was solved—thanks to some extreme hat hair from his hat being worn for hours at a time and the constant jogging to each delivery while carrying steamy pizza. "Oh, uh, sorry for the late response. I was still rinsing off, and then I kind of spaced out... I'm down for some spaghetti; I haven't eaten anything really since this morning before my shift. I'll honestly eat anything at this point as long as it's not pizza. I think I need a little break from it."
I was hoping to have it closer to being done by the time you got out. I wouldn't have bothered you before you were finished.
*Jeanne goes over to the kitchen area and rummages through the cabinets, pulling out a pot and a pan and setting them on the stove.*
I also wanted to make sure before starting that not only you liked it, but that you could actually eat it. I dunno your medical stuff.
*Jeanne starts going through the pantry.*
You can sit on the couch and watch some TV or whatever while I cook. It sounds like you need to relax.
"Ah... sorry? At least I can take a breather and rest my eyes while it's being made."
Elliot made his way over to the couch and sat down, letting out an overly dramatic sigh of relief. God, he finally had a moment of not standing; it was almost as good as payday and cashing his check.
"Uh, everyone likes spaghetti, dude. And uh, the only thing you need to worry about is shellfish. I'm allergic to that stuff. It won't kill me, but it'll make me wish I was dead if I eat some. Hives, rashes and really bad stomach stuff and vomiting. Not fun."
Good to know.
*Jeanne grabs the ingredients she needs and sets them on the counter. She goes on to cook as Elliot rests.*
*Eventually, she finishes with two things. A pot of noodles and a pan of meat and sauce. She sets a bowl on the counter.*
Alright. Come fix yourself a bowl. Get however much of whatever you want.
Elliot pushes himself off the couch and stretches with a yawn, having momentarily dozed off while she was cooking. Shaking the sleepiness away, he makes his way over to the kitchen and prepares a decent-sized bowl.
He probably could have polished off the entire thing himself since he hadn't eaten most of the day and had a big appetite, but that would have been rude. Besides, Jeanne was—for lack of a better term—large and probably needed more food herself. As Elliot started eating he looked over at Jeanne, deciding that maybe now would be a good idea to make some small talk and get to know her better. "So...if you don't mind me asking, were you always like this?" He gestures vaguely at her long body with his fork. "Or is it because of outside that I've been told is dangerous? Most of the people I've seen are now uh, different in one way or another."
*Jeanne thought for a moment, before grabbing the pan and mixing it all together in the pot. It looks like Elliots assumption was right. This would probably apply to most viewers that have gained size like this. This is why she let Elliot get his share first.*
Ha-! Is that a joke?
*Jeanne comes over and sits on the opposite end of the couch.*
So no one's told you about what's going on? About the eldritch alien thing in the sky?
Elliot gave her an awkward smile and sheepishly shrugged his shoulders. "I was uh, on this shift for what felt like ages now and tired so I thought I was just hallucinating. Some sleepy dude said that people turn into monsters if they go or look outside and I thought he was just... y'know, tweaking out." He takes a bite of his spaghetti, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before he continues. "I was outside for a while, drove over here without issue until I got trapped inside. Got a pizza delivery to the roof and saw a rainbow eye in the sky who tipped good, which I'm guessing is what people are freaking out about, but nothing happened to me there either." He takes another bite and then starts tapping his bowl idly with a fork. "I uh, did see another me wandering around that I thought was a hallucination... but I've been getting memories that aren't mine, I forget even doing some deliveries and after seeing you and a few others... it's getting harder to believe that I'm just being pranked or I'm uh, just tired."
God, I wish this was a prank. . . That'd mean this isn't real. I wouldn't be a freak and most of my friends wouldn't be insane or dead.
*Jeanne figured it'd be best to avoid bringing up the damage she herself had done to others. Though, it was less her and more-so her other heads at the time. She still felt guilty regardless. She just didn't want to make Elliot uncomfortable enough to scare him off.*
You really saw it-? Like, straight-up?
Elliot opened his mouth to say that she didn't look like a freak, but as soon as she mentioned that most of her friends were either insane or dead, he decided to keep quiet. He wasn't sure how to respond to that; he worried that what he might say could upset her or come off as empty platitudes. Elliot looked away as and nodded his head, deciding to just change the subject and answer her question. "Kinda, yeah? At least I think so? I saw this giant rainbow eyeball in the sky, it brought down some tentacle wiggly things onto the roof and we even talked for a little bit, seemed confused, but nice. Gave me a decent tip and then absorbed the pizza into the sky."
"Nice". . . God, I feel bad for having so much spite against it. It didn't mean to do all this, but. . .
*Jeanne crosses her arms. She figured the point would be obvious.*
I'm jealous, to be honest. I think most of us would be jealous of you.
For the rest of us, all it took is a glimpse to become a full monster. But for you. . . You confronted it head-on. It feels unfair.
Elliot stopped eating, a look of guilt spreading across his face, even though the entire transformation to himself or others was beyond his control.
He could see where Jeanne was coming from. From what he had seen, they turned into hand monsters, mechanical creatures like Lyle or like her, with so many eyes and teeth, her body spreading throughout her entire apartment. Elliot wasn't completely unscathed from being exposed to the visitor, even before heading to the roof and he was slowly coming to terms with that after experiencing other people in the apartment. He had gaps in his memory now and he came to in random places with money in his hand and a missing pizza. His changes were just more mental and physical... kind of? There's another version of him running around, occasionally feeding him memories that aren't his, and god are they are unnerving. All about business, eerily lucid and straight to the point, with blunt responses, completely the opposite of him, like some sort of food robot all for Fromage and Flame. He didn't know how to respond to Jeanne, this wasn't some sort of competition. 'Oh, you're a long sharp worm person now, but I'm having memories and experiences not my own and it feels like I'm not in control of my body.'
All he could do was meekly rub at his arm and give her an apologetic and nervous smile, like he was in trouble somehow. "Uh... I'm sorry...? It just kind of... happened."
*Jeanne perks up, uncrossing her arms.*
Wh- D-Don't apologize!
*Jeanne leans closer. The closer she is, the more apparent her sheer size is.*
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I'm glad you got so lucky. You seem like a good kid-
*She quickly retreats back to her end of the couch. It's best to keep a bit of distance.*
We just got on a kinda angsty topic. Sorry.
Elliot started idly picking at a loose thread on the sweatpants, a nervous habit he'd picked up from someone who did the same when they were stressed or overwhelmed with thoughts. He was very antsy, given how utterly massive she was and how close her teeth and mouth were, though he was trying his best to hide it as to not make Jeanne feel self conscious.
"Uh... it's fine. All of this is a little much." He continued to pick at the loose thread, trying to think of a good subject change so their night wasn't ruined by an awkward conversation. "So uh, what kind of music or movies do you like?"
It was an extremely lame subject change... but he thought it was better than nothing.
*It wasn't a subtle transition. Jeanne felt bad for letting it get like this. What a first impression.*
Um.. Music-wise, I can like just about any genre. I think most of my playlist is indie.
And.. I like movies that are funny. Not necessarily just comedy, but yeah. Action and adventures are cool.
"Awww sick, I kinda prefer romantic movies and any kind of horror myself or uh, psychological thrillers. As for music..." He trails off and looks off into the middle distance for a few moments. "Uh... I think I'm kinda the same. I'll listen to anything as long as it sounds good and it's not like uh, that experimental dragging stuff across metal and saying it's music."
He picks up his bowl of spaghetti and finishes off the rest, gradually relaxing as the two continue talking with one another. "I think there was a band around the city somewhere that sounded cool and I know somebody personally who has some killer pipes. I wonder how they're all doing now, damn. I hope they're ok."
Yeah. . .
*Jeanne leans back, splitting open her zipper mouth and downing the pot of the rest of the spaghetti.*
I wonder how my family's doing.
Elliot goes a little quiet; the fate of his own family, friends and more hadn't occurred to him until now, he was focused primarily on his deliveries. Were they even alive, or were they cursed like everyone else? If they were cursed, were they like him or suffering from bad luck?
Elliot resumed picking at the thread as he looked over at Jeanne. "Uh, do you wanna talk about it? I may not know... what to really say but it's sometimes better to just let out your worries than hold it in."
Well. . . I shouldn't vent about my family drama to a teenager at my grown age. That's what Lyle is for.
But if you wanna talk to me about anything, you can. I don't mind.
Elliot slouched against the couch, idly drumming his fingers on his stomach. Well… Jeanne had offered, and he was stressing about quite a few things. Hopefully, it wasn't just an empty platitude; she seemed too cool for that.
"Uh… well, I'm worried about whether my family is cursed and if they're like me or just meat sludge, or if they're fine and the way I black out and wake up without remembering what I did is CRAZY freaking me out." His lips purse into a thin line, and he lets out a small groan. "And then there's that other me whose memories I get now and again. What if they go nuts and hurt people, and I get blamed for it? Or uh, what if they have my memories and deliver a pizza to my bo- uh, someone I know who lives here, and they think it's me?"
Hm, I've been hearing about copies of people appearing. But I haven't heard about them sharing memories. Odd. . .
Have you tried confronting it?
"Wh- no, of course not!" He shakes his head back and forth, completely put off from the idea. "I don't know if they're dangerous or not and I don't want to get killed, dude. From what I get from their memories, they act like a robot, all blunt and weird. I'm just a delivery boy armed with a pizza cutter. What if they try and kill the original?"
Okay.. I get why you're hesitant. Everything in general has gotten scarier.
*Jeanne pushes herself off the couch and picks up the pot and Elliots bowl. She takes them to the kitchen sink.*
But this doesn't seem like something you can just wait out.
Elliot bit his tongue, resisting the urge to say "Bet" or "Watch me" to her. Unfortunately, she did have a point, and somehow he would have to confront them, it, himself down the line to see if they were legitimately dangerous and to maybe set some ground rules or something with their coexistence.
"Shit...I mean, yeah. You do have a point, but still." He slouches even further and drags his hands across his face, letting out a raspberry. "What am I supposed to do though if they're violent, or we touch each other and both of us like, EXPLODE?"
I think you should find a partner. Some who'll have your back just in case.
*Jeanne comes back over and sits in her seat.*
Other than me, I mean. I don't think I'd be able to do much, considering.
*Jeanne tugs on her "tail", whatever you'd call the mass under her lowest set of arms.*
Elliot swallowed and turned his head away when she mentioned "partner." He had someone in mind, but he wasn't sure if they were even alive anymore. "I mean...sure, maybe..." He quietly muttered, more to himself than to Jeanne. He was putting off checking, in case the worst-case scenario of them being cursed or dead came true. If he didn't know their fate, they were still in his life, alive—like some sort of messed up version of Schrödinger's cat.
"You're really big, but you've been the only one who seems safe. I've met, uh… a weird, sleepy dude who didn't seem all there, that Mutt person who seems nice, but has a weird vibe around them, and Lyle, who seems like he'd be scared of his own shadow. I...guess I can try to uh, solicit help tomorrow and knock on doors?"
That might be best. I wish I could help ya more.
Maybe if you can manage to get it on this floor, I can protect you. But I can't go to the other floors. I can barely reach the end of the hall and I have a lot of deadweight to carry either way.
"You're all good my dude, you've been helping me out a lot by even just feeding me and letting me stay here away from the more dangerous dudes roaming the halls, not to mention feeding me."
Elliot looks over at the entirety of Jeanne and then over at the doorway. "I can try to bring, uh... me over here. I think I'll call it that... feels a little weird calling something that looks like myself it." He rolls his shoulders before continuing. "Regardless, thanks for the help. I'll try and pay you back somehow, though, uh... the best thing I can probably do is give you pizza?"
Fine by me. I could probably eat three whole pizzas in one go at this size.
*Jeanne chuckles. She leans forward and grabs the blanket and pillow off the table.*
Oh yeah. These are for you when you wanna sleep. You can set up the couch whenever you want.
Elliot stared at the blanket and pillow as if they were straight-up ambrosia. Today had been the longest, most tiring, emotionally and mentally draining day of his life. "I'll, uh, probably go to sleep when you do. I don't want you going to bed early on my account and… ruining your routine if you, uh, have one."
Don't worry about me. My routine's already fucked up.
And I can just stay in my room when you're ready to go to bed anyways. I don't mind.
"Well... if you're sure I think I might go to sleep any second now. Today has been..." He spaces out for a moment and then lets out a lengthy sigh, running his fingers through his thick fluffy hair. "It's been a lot to process."
Yeah, I get it. I'm still unsure if this is all real myself..
*Jeanne pushes herself off the couch, balancing on her lower limbs.*
Sorry that the conversation kinda got rough there for a minute. Goodnight, kid.
*She makes it to her room, closing the door as much as she could. Unfortunately, her own body was kinda in the way.*
There's a hesitant knocking coming from the door. Through the peephole, there's a teenager wearing jogging clothes and a delivery hat. He appears quite nervous, anxiously glancing back and forth down the hallway. "Uh. Is this the apartment of a Jeanne person?
(This isnt a true story btw) One time I met this guy his name was willbert Norman and he would gamble on sports he repeatedly picked the losing team thinking they would win and I would always laugh because hahaha funny except after 27 times he said: "THATS IT. I'M GONNA KILL CHILDREN AND WEAR THE SKIN OF GOOD PEOPLE" and I said: "yeah right we get it ur teams suck"
That Willbert fucking Norman

"Oh, uh, sorry for the late response. I was still rinsing off, and then I kind of spaced out... I'm down for some spaghetti; I haven't eaten anything really since this morning before my shift.

He makes his way over to the bathroom and closes the door behind himself, the sounds of the shower running turning on shortly after.
Sorry.
