Toby Fox: Tenna is a character who is driven by nostalgia and a yearning to return to an idyllic past that no longer exists. His fear of abandonment - while entirely justified - causes him to lash out and behave in ways which are detrimental to those around him. He has an unhealthy relationship with the others darkners in his life, who in turn exacerbate his fears and contribute to his worsening mental health. He is also quite literally stuck in an environment that no longer cares for him. At his lowest he becomes so intent on bringing the Dreemurrs back that he ends up hurting them and finally driving away his workers for good. In the end Susie understands that Tenna needs a change of environment and a chance to start new relationships, just like the chance she was given. It becomes clear that if Tenna stays where he is now (both in a physical and mental sense) that it will only lead to his own demise. His past love may be gone, but that doesn't mean there's nobody out there who will love him again. This message is only further reinforced by the fact he continues to spiral and exhibit concerning behaviour when he is kept in Castle Town, as opposed to being given to Mettaton, who immediately uses and enjoys his new television (who was an inspiration for Tenna btw. Have I mentioned that? Did you guys see the Mettaton Tenna parallels? Did you see them guys?)

Trans spamton is such a weird thing cos obviously there is absolutelly nothing wrong with it as a hc or interpretation of his character, but some people treat it really weirdly.

Aside from people calling you transphobic if you dare to call him am asshole, I seen a surprisinly amount of people that use it to erase his misogony and to make really weird theories.

Like, I seen a lot of people theorize that he was canonically pregnant an say that is a really important part of his character and backstory that you can't deny.

Of course 0 hate to people how make this for fan content cos they like it, I'm talking about people that insist is canon, like someone made a more that an hour long video about this an it's canonical importance.

Also of course trans men can get pregnant if they want and that doesn't make them less trans, but insisting so much that a character that has shown 0 parental qualities, has misogonistic tendencies and that really like his job would be a stay at home wife, extreamly femenine and sumisive and saying that is important for hus character is in my opinion a bit weird.

trans spamton is in the realm of a lot of other spamton headcanons for me, wherein i don't think there's anything wrong with them by default but ppl get so weird and annoying with it that i start disliking it over time

the thing is like. toby doesn't really write his trans characters like that. like mettaton and mad mew mew and the lioness and even ralsei now are extremely blatant in writing of what they're meant to represent yknow? like it doesn't make sense to me that spamton's Canonical Evidence would be hidden in the code and vaguely alluded to through concept art and stuff you know

again it doesn't mean it can't be a Headcanon. but insisting it's absolutely textually canon is really fucking silly to me . sorry

AND YEAH PEOPLE GET SO LIKE. SO SO STRANGE ABOUT IT. the number of fics ive seen where he's trans entirely so that 1) he can be the bottom and 2) he can get pregnant is like. i don't know man. am i controversial to say spamton's aborting those thangs

it loops around so much to Welllll the small one is the sub and the bottom and he gets pregnant aaaaand the big one is the dom and the top and has a big dick and is getting him pregnant ^_^ this is woke trust me where are you going come back please

and this doesn't get into how people who get too lost in the sauce with trans spamton completely forget what his story and arc is about. his #1 goal with the neo body is to get more power so he can become god and kill the people he feels wronged by. that's it. like sure maybe he also gets euphoria from it or something but ultimately he's power hungry and vindictive. that's just his character.
