The poem If You’re Anything Like Me has hit me so hard. I was in tears. Taylor and i are so similar and i have said this for so long. She always makes me feel less alone… we see everything the same, we deal with things the same, we have the same values and we express ourselves the same.
I have thought this for such a long time, and this poem is hit me so hard.
I’m literally speechless…
This poem, i will take with me for the rest of my life, because of Taylor, i know i will be okay, because she is okay.
I can’t stop thinking about If You’re Anything Like Me and if anyone who hasn’t seen it, this is what i am talking about.

I’m Everything Like You
I was that kid that fell from trees
The kid that skinned my knees
Darling, I have a feeling you were like that too
I spent my lunch hiding out in bathroom stalls
Was laughed at down the hall
I know you’ve been there too

I knock on broken doors
In hope to find something more
I let people in so close, they suffocate me and leave me broke

I’m the life of the party, but inside i try to keep my thoughts from crying, the mess of my mind is locked away and saved for another day

I get the flashbacks of the sounds, the laughs the stares
Darling, i know you see them too
In a room, surrounded by friends, but are they still laughing at you
Said sorry a thousand times not only to everyone, but to myself

The flag that waved red, but all i saw was go
I take a step back and see the flames
I know sometimes i need to say no
But i didn’t want to be the one to ruin their show
Darling, i know you say yes too
Knowing the blame was on them, i swallow it as me
It’s easier for my crown to break, we know how this story goes
Darling, I’m everything like you
There’s no need to be sorry for me being anything like you
Because you’re okay, darling, it taught me to be okay too.
