So everyone knows how the narrator says "My Deltarune" in the game, right? I want to point something out about the words within this.

First, "Delta" is a Greek/Latin symbol strongly associated with CHANGE. This shows up a lot in math for anyone that knows the slope equation.

"Rune" means symbol. If we take the name "DELTA RUNE" literally, it will mean "change symbol" or "symbol of change."

The entire game is about changing. And I believe that whichever route you take depends on whether you change Hometown for the better, or for worse.

I believe that the weird route is actively fulfilling the prophecy. This is due to the Soul/you strongly changing Kris' behavior/the storyline, and with you and Noelle breaking the barriers of the game by walking into the lake.

By changing Kris and Noelle's story drastically, Noelle is spiraling, which may lead to the Roaring AKA her or Kris having a breakdown and opening a ton of fountains.

The weird route is what happens when you can't let go of the past.

Which mainly concerns Kris and Noelle. Both of them have things they need to accept, whether it be a missing sister or a parent's divorce. But I personally believe that Noelle has partially accepted Dess' disappearance, and Kris has accepted their parents' divorce.

But we come in. The Weird Route is just pulling them both back into anguish.

I would also like to point out the symbol of the Deltarune itself.

The Deltarune symbol, seems to be the final confrontation between the Angel and the Three Heroes. The angel being the circle with wings at the top, and the three heroes being the triangles at the bottom

But why are they triangles?

It's because they're deltas. In writing, deltas are represented as "Δ".

The three heroes are symbols of change. They are deltarunes.

This is why I believe that the normal route will also lead to change. But it's going to change for the better. Because of Susie. Susie is the one that is the most in the dark about the entire story.

Ralsei and Kris are letting on way less than they know, and it's become quite obvious throughout Ch.5 with Ralsei praying that things will get better, and being able to use fire magic. Kris hides their stats as well, and prevents us from seeing things and furthering our own knowledge, like codes to the shelter.

But why does this matter? Because Ralsei and Kris know more, they think that change is impossible. They think that the story is already written for them.

Susie has hope of changing the prophecy because she doesn't know everything. As Gerson said, she is the one who holds the pen. She is the one that can take control of the story.
