To All the Girls Whose Thighs Touch

The other night I was prepping Rob to spend part of the weekend making the house Mom presentable for a family visit in a few weeks, and we decided we basically do this to put on a veil of proper adulthood and togetherness. The reality: all the furniture I own is a hodgepodge from the 6 different places I’ve lived in over the past 18 years or free from Varage, none of my decor really matches, I don’t have a singular matching dish set, we have lived here for 2 years and the bedroom still isn’t decorated, at any given time only 25% of our lightbulbs are replaced/functional and half of our living room doubles as a laundry room. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It feels good to be HONEST. We are both still works in progress and this is where we are at.

tbh the mentality that "You teach people how to treat you.." is such victim blaming BS. Right along with "I wish you loved yourself and knew your worth". Obviously people wouldn't be cheated on or abused if they only set limits and loved themselves. The abuser just needs boundaries and a partner with self esteem, duhhhhhh.
