"So, why're you here?"
"They wanted my brain," Hiro said idly, fidgeting with a small robot and twisting it between his hands as he glanced at his fellow HYDRA prisoner. "Unfortunately they havenât figured out a way to get it without the rest of me attached, at least not yet. what about you?"
Kai crinkled her nose, nodding. âTrue, true. Even my sisters cook better. And both are banned from the kitchen.â Her sistersâŚat least they were too high profile and too careful with their abilities to snatch. Who knew what HYDRA would do with a pyrokinetic and a cryokinetic. âAh, by the way, you may want to keep anything electronic away from me.â
"Electronic? Like theyâd let me have more than this little guy," Hiro pointed out the robot he held in one hand, then continued, "When they donât have me working on something." He paused and looked her in the eye, expression contemplative. "So youâre⌠what, a living EMP?"
"Not quite that simple." She sighed. "I havenât gotten full control over it yet, but I drain energy from things. Usually electronics. Sometimes lessâŚconventionally powered things." The one time sheâd been near Chitauri tech had been harrowing. "Occasionally I dispel the energy, but againâŚnot in control of it, really."
"Well," Hiro said, and grinned. "Tell me what you do know. I think I can work with it~" HYDRA would regret putting him and this girl in the same place, if he had anything to say about it. Regret and lose their current prizes. The teenager would honestly prefer the latter, but eh, at this point he'd take the first, too.
