Leo Bloomer is the main character of extra earth. Leo is the adopted son of pat and <undecided> Boomer. He has a brother, Colton Boomer, and a sister, Lilly Boomer (Lilly and Colton are biological siblings but adopted by pat). Leo tries to be good and do the right thing despite his family and surroundings. He is imaginative, creative, problem-solving, and above all a hero. Leo can be indecisive and bad with his feelings, especially anger. We eventually discover that Leo’s real mom is an under-earther. He struggles with the evil, raging, under-energy in his dna. This makes his powers hard to control. Leo (a late boomer) has cloud powers. He can blast people away with wind, cloud blast out of his legs and fly, turn into a cloud and slip through anywhere gas can get through, use his clouds to make it hard to see, float, and more. In his uncontrolled form he is a a huge cloud giant.

The concept isn’t solid yet but there is an extra earth built around the earth we have now and half of the population gets an “extra” which is a superpower when they turn 13. the main kid is Leo and he has cloud powers. It is a new earth so there are new cultures and creatures and everything so anything can exist. Under earth is a wasteland full of evil energy and people with evil extras, but they are not completely human they have the evil energy and their hair is white and their eyes are red and they’re crazy. There is no sunlight on under earth but the red energy that is everywhere glows so you can sometimes see. On extra earth there is a school that functions like a college and whose name is undecided but when you turn 13 if you get and extra you go there. Getting an extra is more likely if you have parents with extras, a 50/50 chance if you have one parent with an extra, and less likely if you have no parents with extras. Extra earth is still sort of new and it is still being created, so new creatures and things sometimes emerge from certain places. The school focuses more on using your extra and becoming a hero but there are other classes as well.
