THE SHEER IRONY that Essek Thelyss—120 years old, REFUSED TO BE CONSECUTED, in his first lifetime, resented how religion controlled and dictated the society he lived in—basically paralleled the Luxon's journey with his own and thus became a paragon of the Luxon's ideology. He questioned who he was after he crashed into a world of colour and became something entirely new because of it. He asked himself, "who am I?" Became receptive to change, broke apart, was shown his reflection through a new lens, forged something new out of his pieces, and will spend the rest of his life with a newfound understanding of how connection is a catalyst for change and an aid to introspection. Essek Thelyss essentially came closer to understanding what it was that the deity his people worshipped was seeking to understand, MORESO than any Umavi that lived multiple lifetimes and grew cold because of them, that bled further and further away from the idea of the Luxon itself.
