It’s the last day of 2018… geez that was fast 😪 It’s been a rollercoaster of a year, but it’s finally wrapping up and coming to an end! Looking back, I think the most important piece I created this year was this painting, “In My Own.” I think it was here, where I started to solidify the direction of my work, paving way for my Flood series. I think the most important thing I got out of this piece was the movement and rhythm — I finally got the hang of the ‘flow’ I’d always pictured in my head, capturing it through negative space, the shape language and the lines. The final piece basically summed up everything I’ve focussed on this past year: flow, gold, shapes & negative space, and I honestly happy with the direction! 😊 What made your 2018?
