Hanz Kovacq, pseudonym of Bernard Dufossé (Le Raincy, 11 June 1936 - Hyères, 21 August 2016 [1]), was an internationally known French cartoonist of erotic comics. [2] His stories stand out for the themes with a strong sadomasochistic connotation but above all for the character of the graphic line. Kovacq's drawing, although extremely realistic, appears in some of its features also slightly caricatured. The characters represented therefore, while maintaining a clear and explicit figurative reference, appear to be characterized by extremely developed, almost allegorical sexual organs. Kovacq also does not disdain to represent "the ugly" who, with his disharmonious features, helps to accentuate the sadomasochistic image that is represented. Generally his stories are based on a female protagonist who, in spite of herself, finds herself undergoing (and subsequently participating in) situations that touch the limit of perversion. Perhaps the author shows us an underwater world, which although it exists, or has existed, is ignored by most.
