Iwaizumi who grows emboldened by your receptiveness. You don’t withdraw whenever he touches you. A hand on your waist when he passes behind you, a hand that brushes your hair out of your face. Every compliment he makes? You blush.

Iwaizumi who thrives under your attention. It’s a subtle difference that would go unnoticed to a regular person. Those who know him, however, can see how enamored he is.

Iwaizumi who knows he wants to ask you out. It’s not a matter of if, but when. However, Oikawa loves to appear whenever he finally gets you alone.

Iwaizumi who waits until Oikawa gets stuck babysitting Takeru to make his move. He meets you outside your house holding a small bouquet of your favorite flowers. He bluntly asks you out. He is not coarse or rude. He just doesn’t beat around the bush or try to quote poetry.

Iwaizumi who lets out a shaky laugh when you accept. He’s visibly relieved. He offers to take you out then and there. Nothing flashy, just a casual meal and a movie.

Iwaizumi who fears that Oikawa will hate him. They are childhood friends, and while Iwaizumi is loathed to admit it, best friends. Oikawa takes the news like a champ, it’s clear he’s bitter but he shrugs his shoulders and moves on.

Iwaizumi who willingly fell right into your trap and he couldn’t be happier. You had fallen first, but it was very clear he fell harder.

Oikawa who flirts with you but never takes the next step. You’re a puzzle to him. Usually at this point in the friendship the girl is risking is all. You, however, are not writing him confession letters or trying to gift him a box of homemade chocolates.

Oikawa who notices how your relationship softens. You don’t always roll your eyes at him anymore. You even stay back to be with him even after Iwa leaves. Afraid that he’ll jinx it, he doesn’t point it out.

Oikawa who is nervous about officially asking you out. He knows you used him to try and get with Iwa. However, he never felt taken advantage of. You’ve become one of his closest confidants and make the effort in your friendship.

Oikawa who buys an obnoxiously large box of whatever your favorite sweet is. He invites you out to a nearby restaurant and tells you there. He’s still charismatic, because when is he not, but you can notice the underlying anxiety of the confession. His words aren’t flowery and he doesn’t give surface level compliments. His usual air of nonchalance is replaced with one of earnestness. He speaks from the heart. He beams when you agree.

Oikawa who won’t let go of your hand the rest of the day. He drops you off and practically skips when he leaves.

Oikawa who privately tells Iwa what happened. He knows it will be a bitter pill to swallow and does not want to reveal it publicly. Oikawa values their friendship. He’s not naive and knows that this isn’t the first person that has chosen him over Iwa. He takes the news well, but disappears for a weekend. Afterwards, it’s as if nothing had happened.

Oikawa who loves to remind you that he wasn’t your first choice. He’ll dramatically complain about it but is happy that you chose him in the end.

Oikawa who randomly sends pictures of things that remind him of you. Some images are cute, some are downright insulting. He likes to keep you on your toes. (aka he thinks you’re cute when you’re mad). Iwaizumi, on the other hand, likes to randomly call to see what you’re up to. He’s not the type to sit on the phone in silence, but he likes working out to the sound of your voice or going about other tasks.

Iwaizumi who develops a soft spot for you. He becomes less irritable when you’re around, which Oikawa quickly takes advantage of.

Oikawa who is a little bitter that you used him to get closer to Iwaizumi. However, now he has an upper hand because he was friends with you first.

Iwaizumi who now loves when fangirls flock to Oikawa. While he is distracted, Iwaizumi takes the opportunity to treat you to some food.

Oikawa who blows up your phone when you disappear with Iwaizumi after he gets mobbed. He whines into a voice message that you left him to the wolves.

Iwaizumi who feels emotionally constipated when he flirts with you. He never comes off as smooth or suave as Oikawa.

Oikawa who feels you don’t take him as seriously compared to Iwaizumi. He comes off as flippant while Iwaizumi is reliable.

Oikawa and Iwaizumi whose competitive streak only increases in tenfold whenever you’re around. There’s no official score, but they just know whenever one of them is in the lead.

Iwaizumi who invites you out to the movies and Oikawa crashes the date. He remembered you mentioning wanting to see that movie! You end up awkwardly seated between them. Iwaizumi is irked while Oikawa laughs and whispers comments into your ear.

Reader who is not naive and knows how they feel. You often wonder how you got into this mess. It wasn’t as if you tried to seduce Oikawa.

Iwaizumi who actively tries to pursue you after that game. He tries to nonchalantly ask Oikawa what your preferences are. Oikawa pouts and responds like a petulant child, “Why does it matter?”

Iwaizumi who thinks he’s being discreet when he flirts with you. You’re receptive, but Oikawa practically hisses when he overhears it.

Iwaizumi who tries to ask you out on a date. However, whenever he works up the courage to do it Oikawa has conveniently stolen your attention.

Iwaizumi who knows that Oikawa likes you. Iwaizumi knows him like the back of his hand, and he never takes other girls seriously like he does with you.

Oikawa who thinks that you’re just another run-of-the-mill fangirl trying to get close to him. You’re sweet, but not outright flirtatious. He thinks you’re in for the long game, but he’s dealt with these tactics before.

Oikawa who keeps you at an arms length until he sees you actually want to be his friend. He notices that you treat him as you would Hanamaki or Matsukawa. You make the effort to get to know him instead of his fake personality.

Oikawa who notices you get antsy whenever Iwa comes around. He figures you’re scared of him because he’s always mad. You wouldn’t be the first.

Oikawa who notices that you ask a lot of questions about Iwa.

Oikawa who comes to crave your presence. You don’t take him seriously and you don’t put him on a pedestal. He can just be himself

Oikawa who tries to work his charms on you and finds that you’re immune. You roll your eyes and shove him, thinking that he’s messing with you.

Oikawa who invites you to a group hangout. When he goes to leave with you, you wave him off saying you’ll stay back with Iwa

Y/N was terrified of going abroad for uni because she didn’t want to lose contact with anyone (especially after she lost contact with Tendou when he moved to France) -> so the going away cake made her feel guilty and she cried, which then made Tanaka cry because it was his idea.

Sugawara canceled last minute because he caught hand, foot, and mouth disease. No one argued or asked for elaboration because they did not want to know how.

Tendou hasn’t kept up with what Y/N’s been up to because it was too painful for him after they lost contact. They didn’t have a blow up argument or anything of the like, but regardless he missed her a lot.

Tendou was too scared to reach out and it only got worse with time.

Goshiki texting him that Y/N was back in Japan led him on a Y/N content binge.
