First of all what is Media? according to the wikipedia, media are the collective communication outlets or tools used to a store and deliver information or data. It is either associated with communication media, or the specialized mass media communication businesses such as print media and the press, photography, advertising, cinema, broadcasting either in television and radio, publishing and point of sale.

For the question, is media a boon or bane? In my own perspective it is boon because it help us communicate with other people especially those people who are far from us. It is also beneficial to us humans to be updated about the various events around the world. We can look for the latest news in the television or listen to the radio and be prepared in case there are calamities. Media can also educate us about our rights and duties. Media has become part of our life now because it help us communicate , be updated, be prepared, be wise and it also educate us. Therefore, media plays an important role to us. It's just that people abuse it and not thinking before doing something that can harm other people or themselves.
