HAPPY BISEXUAL VISIBILITY DAY
sometimes i block people and theyre not even terrible or anything. just annoying
like its totally fine to block people. for any reason. you dont have to justify why you don't want to interact with a person. you don't owe anyone your time or consideration. i once blocked someone because i said i liked pink and that its typically hated for femmephobic reasons (but not always) and they commented "pink is disgusting and hideous and i hate it". so. idk i think if you don't like a person or they do something that annoys you even slightly you shouldn't hesitate to block and you shouldn't feel bad about it either. blocking isn't a punishment or some form of revenge only reserved for capital crimes, it's just a way to curate an online experience that you enjoy. block away.
I think this is a good way to put it, but its just plain rude to block someone if your opinion doesnt match or if they said something you dint like. Ofcourse you dont owe someone anything but what kind of a person would u become by being an inconsiderate and a rude person? And what if someone treated YOU that way? Blocking you when you said something without explaining why or if u said something that they dint like. This is just immature imo but do whatever you like sis āļø
see, now instead of getting upset you could've just blocked me

āIf you really study diversity acceptance youāll see that people start to respect people once they respect themselves. As long as we were in this endless begging for inclusion, we werenāt addressing the respect issue. So, those two themes ā wanting to respect ourselves and wanting to celebrate the previous yearsā battles ā were the dual driving forces behind Celebrate Bisexuality Day. The day was not an education day. It was not a coming-out day, itās not about GLBT partnerships building or proving ourselves to anyone else. Itās not a āPrideā day, though many of us are proud. Itās not about usurping a gay event and making a smaller one for ourselves. Itās a truly unique day, just for us.ā
āWe were sitting around at one of the annual bi conventions, venting and someone ā I think it was Gigi ā said we should have a party. We all loved the great bisexual, Freddie Mercury. His birthday was in September, so why not Sept? We wanted a weekend day to ensure the most people would do something. Gigi's birthday was Sept 23rd. It fell on a weekend day, so, poof! We had a day."
Gigi Raven Wilbur: Former member of the BiNet USA Board of Directors & recipient of the American Institute of Bisexuality Globe Award
āCelebrate Bisexuality Day has three parts to it. Autumn equinox is on September 21st. The autumn equinox is important in the pagan community, because this is when we gather our crops. The pagan community believes that the autumn equinox is a ācalling out day.ā Having Celebrate Bisexuality Day during the autumn equinox would be like ācalling outā to all bisexuals.ā So, I thought what day wouldnāt be better than calling out day?ā September 23rd is also my birthday.ā
Michael Page: Creator of the Bisexual Pride flag
āThe pink color represents sexual attraction to the same sex only (gay and lesbian), The blue represents sexual attraction to the opposite sex only (straight) and the resultant overlap color purple represents sexual attraction to both sexes (bi). The key to understanding the symbolism of the bi pride flag is to know that the purple pixels of color blend unnoticeably into both the pink and blue, just as in the 'real world,' where bi people blend unnoticeably into both the gay/lesbian and straight communities."

Fact: Today (September 23rd) is bisexuality awareness day. Be aware of bisexuals. They are dangerous.

BI VISIBILITY WEEK 2021: ā³ Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
āIām not straight. Iām bisexual. And I donāt care what you think about it!ā
Today my brother-in-law and I were having a pretty deep converasation, the kind I tend to avoid with him because heās pretty closed minded and it usually ends in a fight.Ā
He asked me if I had ever heard of Steve Crowder. I immediately tensed. Because I have heard of him and he makes my blood boil (you can find his YouTube channel hereĀ if you feel like making yourself mad).Ā
Basically, the discussion was Steve Crowder said rape culture doesnāt exist because no one actively promotes rape. There is no one in America (this was the country we were talking about because itās the one featured in his video) that tells people it is okay to rape people. I donāt know if this is a fact or not, but I had to explain to my brother all the reasons this isnāt true.
Rape culture isnāt a group of men telling people itās okay to rape people. Rape culture isnāt a group of angry women shouting that all men are rapists.Ā Ā
Rape culture is encouraging sexual agression, or seeing it as okay; seeing it as normal. Rape culture is this agression and violence being seen as normal through popular culture. Rape culture is the fact that we even need apps to try and prevent it. Rape culture is people not being punished for raping or harassing someone, because it might damge their reputation. Rape culture is the victim being blamed because they didnāt watch their drink. Because they wore a short skirt. Because they went on a date alone. Because they flirted back. Because they were outside at night. Because they were polite.Ā Ā
Rape culture is teaching girls not to be raped, instead of teaching boys no to rape. Rape culture is the fact that only 3 out of 1000 rapists are convicted. Rape culture exists. And itās a problem.Ā
Rape culture is why I didnāt realise I was raped. It was my boyfriend. We were 17. He wanted me to give him oral and I was scared, drunk and didnāt want to. But he made me. And I thought that was okay because he was my boyfriend. Itās why I thought it was okay that a different drunk boyfriend basically forced me to have sex with him. Itās why I thought it was okay because he apologised in the morning.Ā Itās why I thought I couldnāt say anything when the guy behind me at a concert kept grabbing my arse.
Itās why TWOĀ of my bosses at work have just been moved to different offices for sexually harassing girls, instead of losing their jobs. Itās why the (underage) girls werenāt offered counselling, apologies or explanations for what happened and what was said to them.Ā Itās why they were asked to keep it quiet. Itās why Iāve since quit and encouraged them to do the same.
Itās why I keep my head down when people call out from cars or on the street. Itās why I pretend Iām on the phone when I walk past people. Itās why I keep my hand over my drink when Iām out. Itās why Iām scared to walk home at night even though I work two blocks away from my house.
Itās real.
And itās a problem.Ā
What fucked up corner of tumblr have I found myself in?
the more I grow up, the more I notice that pre-marital sex has absolutely no benefits.
Maybe enjoyment? Maybe pleasure? Maybe an expression of love to the person Iām dating but am not sure Iām going to marry? Maybe I just like sex?
Having sex with someone you donāt intend to marry is not an expression of love, itās an expression of disrespect. Youāre basically saying,Ā āI want you right now and who knows if Iāll want you tomorrow, and I donāt respect you enough to find that out before we get intimate. But, you know, if you get attached to me more than you would have without sex and I break your heart when I end things, at least we had aĀ āgood timeā!ā
And donāt get me started on liking sex and pleasure. Everyone likes pleasure, everyone wants to have sex. Doesnāt mean we should just go at it with any random person. I find eating cake enjoyable but I donāt stuff my face with it 24/7 or whenever it pleases me, because there is such a thing as temperance.
Let me have my cake, and eat it too
While I agree it is the most intimate and vulnerable person, Iām not going to let it define my relationship. Iām not going to give that power to anyone. Iām my own person. The idea of āsaving myself,ā as though Iām the property of the person I marry, literally makes me sick. Virginity is a construct. There is nothing life altering about having sex for the first time.
I enjoy sex.
The fact Iāve had sex with multiple people does not mean I love my partner any less. It doesnāt make them love me any less. I donāt love them any less. It also didnāt make past heartbreak any worse.

i donāt want to be a bad person but i just came across a very catholic blog and theyāre anti vax, anti lgbtq, anti sex, anti abortion and i have made myself SO MAD scrolling
Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I'm an AFAB bisexual and I've been wanting to date a woman for a while now, however I find that almost every woman I've had a crush on are straight, and most of them are already in a relationship or get into one before I confess to them. It hurts sometimes, especially if I've gotten to know them for a while, because I want to be more than friends with them. I don't really know what to do about it.
I donāt really know how to offer advice here, but itās good to vent. Itās upsetting when someone you like is in a relationship or not available for whatever reason, but you mostly canāt change that.
