My Nonsensical Nightmare
One recurring nightmare that I had was a child was something that really terrified me. It was very nonsensical but I always thought that there was a possibility it could happen. I would be forced to drive one of those old school cars (thunderbirds maybe?) from the 90âs, even though I didnât know how to drive. I would be holding on for my life to the steering wheel and I would have to drive through a nonsensical world that was similar to Dr. Seussâs world. There were scary clowns randomly and I would almost kill one of my family members because I didnât how to drive. I would always wake up in a panic with a really fast heartbeat. I hated that dream. I have no idea how they came about â if it was through a movie or a book or any other experience I had. The reason why it was so terrifying was because I was utterly helpless in the dream. It was also very confusing to understand my surroundings so I felt a little like Alice in Wonderland. Just being unsure of everything was scary. I would always say some prayers when I woke up and then go back to sleep. That was the only way I would get over my bad dreams.
P.S. The pug is so freaking adorable.
