Venting and Ranting Interesting this life... very. Interesting other people. Difficult to understand views that differ from yours. Interesting realizing that somebody at your side stopped long ago to feel the same way. Interesting how we still carry on with hope. Interesting how long it can take to get over somebody when you made all the effort you could to get into it in the first place. Interesting how our definition of love can be completely different from the person’s we are with. Interesting how fast some people can move on - in their mind but also in their heart. Interesting times. Too interesting of times to truly worry about other people. More interesting though to focus on your personal lessons than on the mistakes and shortcomings of others. I let life be my teacher. Hurt and pain is a good thing. It means you’re learning. It means you’re moving. The only way we can prevent disappointment and pain is to not live, to avoid taking risks and living in fear. I refuse to do that or at least I’m trying. Trying is all we can do. It’s enough. We are enough! The world keeps spinning - you don’t matter - whether you like that or not. But I also refuse to go along with some ideology the main stream is imposing on everybody. I was in a relationship for 5 years that ended in January. Now it’s August and while he has told me he moved on - I haven’t. And I’m okay with that. I’m not here to feel and act as everybody else and neither are you! It was very difficult for me to open up to a relationship and I sure had my share of adventures before I started being with him - to be frank. Now though I am not the person anymore I used to be before I met him or rather before I discovered the true potential of real love within me and I do not intend to go back to my old ways just so it’ll stop hurting or to mend my broken ego. Truly believing in a relationship and that you will spend the rest of your life with someone is a powerful experience and when it ends it takes time to heal. Do things your own way. I will not distract myself with other adventures just to wake up one day and realize how numb I’ve become. I’m gonna channel my energy into different things because there is much more to this human life than sex and physical relations even though our society seems so profoundly sick that a decision on celibacy for a while shocks people more than fucking random guys you meet in a club every weekend.
