Upon hearing Chaeri's sudden confession, Chaeri group of friends jolted, the crowd started to mutter in confusion, and you fell silent.

You took a glance at Jay to see how he's going to respond to that, but he doesn't seem to show much reaction. He's just there, standing still, eyes piercing at Chaeri who is now only a few steps away from him.

Right next to where Jay's standing, you can also see Sunoo and Niki with their hardened jaw. They're probably fighting their inner urge to throw some fits to the wavy haired girl in front of them.

"Are you saying that your friends are just making things up all along?" You throw a question to understand Chaeri's escape plan.

Chaeri hesitate before answering. "Please don't blame them so much... I know they lied, but maybe they're doing that because of me?"

The way she fidgets her fingers and acting all anxious makes some people fall into her schemes. But the number of people who think Chaeri's acting weird is also not small, while the rest of them are just staying neutral.

You give a disapproval look at the reply. You could never imagine how her friends must be feeling right now, she literally betrayed them after doing so much for her. "For what reason exactly?"

"I mean, I do cry because of you that day, but that is because I find your refusal to help me with my shopping bag is harsh, not that you're actually a meanie." Chaeri then proceed to lower her head after spouting another statement. "I mean, I was just thinking, that you could have just refuse it kindly or did you really need to go that hard on me?"

Once again you realize that the impact of the masses is no joke. The eyes turning back at you once again, giving such an unpleasant look. The thing they whispered among themselves might be bad things about you that you never wish to hear.

To your own surprise, you can feel as if something is pushing—to up of your throat—you feel instant nauseous. Just who would've thought that all of this actually affecting you so much?

On another side, Chaeri is just happy that her plan worked. It worked! Ha, see? I told you that I will do anything. And in a moment Jay definitely gonna come to calm me down.

The chatter from swarm of people that still interested enough to see how whatever is this going to end is getting louder as Chaeri can feel someone is getting closer to her.

It is the conversation between Chaeri and Jungwon regarding the matter of the video. That night, right after Jay dropped her by her house, Chaeri basically call Jungwon up to tell him about what just happened.

Except that of course, she exaggerate this and that, and fabricate some things.

It was almost like adding some seasoning to spice things up, but Chaeri personally loves to call that kind of move of hers as putting a cherry on top.

"Still dare to say it's all a lie?" Jungwon proudly spit the sentence right before shoving his phone back to his outer pocket with a smirk on his face.

Aware of what Jungwon is doing in the last moment, Chaeri's temper got the best of her. To think that her last plan will be ruined by him, who always have been such a good marionette. What happened to the useful Jungwon she knows?

Screaming out of anger and go on berserk in a split second, everyone in the room, including you, become completely horrified when Chaeri starts to throw herself at Jungwon and attack him uncontrollably.

Moving on from the young man to the lady next to her in no time, Chaeri without fail got a good grip on your hair. You gotta admit that it's smart of her to grab the hair of both side of your head, since now it feels like she has full control of your head movement.

After a few seconds spent with her swaying your head from left to right, you trying and silently praying for her to not rip your hair out, and Jay also the three of your bestfriends make efforts to subdue the crazy girl while Sunoo and Niki are helping Jungwon out, Chaeri unintentionally took a step on a spilled coffee that Jungwon has bought you earlier then proceed to slip on her heels.

The thing is, she just had to fall on top of you, which cause you to fall on your back. Heeseung thought he was ready to caught you, but since you're not only carrying your own body weight, you fall faster than you normally would.

A pretty huge bumping sounds echoing as your head hit a chair that just happen to be right on the spot where your head would fall.

Synopsis :

"Okay, it's me that you want to talk to, right?" Making your way closer to Bona, you finally step into the spotlight. "Why don't we settle down first? The environment right now is uncomfortable for us to talk, or am I wrong? As you can see, there's too many eyes watching, so..."

"I don't know about that. I kinda enjoy the environment though?" Bona's eyes wander around to the crowd before it end up on you again. "Why, are you scared that people might found out the truth?"

Her grin makes you smirk in annoyance. Sunoo can even be heard gasping. Oh how you wish you could just smack her in the face and have her cry dramatically on the floor.

"Just who the heck are you, seriously!?" Niki joined you getting closer to Bona in a split second, causing Sunoo to also move in sync to avoid unwanted things to happen.

This unfamiliar voice...

"The truth you're talking about, let's hear it." To everyone's surprise, Jay decided to involve himself in the conversation.

Jay is never one to meddle in this kind of thing. Not to mention that he always hates it when he's being the center of attention. That's why Sunoo and Niki is freaking out a little bit when he agreed to meet you in the campus' cafeteria, since his presence definitely gonna attract interest of many.

Eyes are on Bona now, expecting the now frozen in place girl to answer Jay's question. Bona herself seem shocked that she found her words stuck in her throat.

She took a few step back while looking at her other friends, seeking for some back up but none of them show any sign of willing to help her. Even Chaeri flinched when Jay call Bona's name.

"W- well, i- it's about what happened in the video." Stuttering, Bona still try her best and managed to speak. "And i-it's also true, that she seduce many men!"

"Y- yeah, that's right!"

"Just look at how she always hang with the boys but not girls!"

"Exactly! Even now she also trying to get close with Sunoo and Niki."

One after another of Chaeri's group keep adding up commentary, as if this was a group debate and currently they're working in team to strengthen the argument.

"So what is the problem if she is trying to get close with us, huh?" Sunoo can't help himself to bark.

"I don't even know you guys, why you all acting as if you have control of who should I befriend with?" Niki follows Sunoo.

The crowd talking among themselves is also not helping, you keep thinking that this couldn't get any worse.

Despite all of that, you of course cannot just stand back and accept their wrong accusation about you. You may sincerely wish that this matter can be issued calmly, but if in fact there's no chance for that to happen, then oh well.

"The video? About what?" Jay asked again, this time his tone is more confused than demanding.

"Of what happened a few days ago, when you guys argued, remember?" Gain some confidence after Yubin, Sora, and Gaeul joined hands with her, Bona calmly reach her phone to show Jay and everyone else the video.

Chaeri sure are gaining a lot of advantage from the crowd. You can sense the atmosphere changing, much more heavier than before. It's suddenly become so much different with some mere words.

Not accepting what they just said, Sora went to defend her friend. "You're not even there, how can you be so sure?"

Sora who didn't expect for her words to coming back at her, choose to be silent and shrink in between her friends as she can feel her face burning out of embarrassment.

Just what the heck is this situation is?

As soon as you realize that the assemble of the whole gang is not a good idea, you regretted so many things. Like why did you even think it'll be okay to say yes to Sunoo and Ni-ki joining your meeting with Jay? You must not thinking straight. Plus now that Jungwon is also here, and all of the eyes watching too.

This is a complete disaster.

You bite your inner cheek as a vague sigh follows. "First thing first, why don't you all have a seat?" You were thinking to settle things down a bit for now at least. "Then we can-"

You turn your head to the source of the voice, annoyed, finally losing it after getting cut off three times in a row, only to find a complete stranger figure. Standing not so far from where you seated, arms folded, eyes glued on you.

The crowd started to murmur even louder as the three joined you and the other. Now the attention is definitely focused on them, Sunoo can't even hold his excitement for the sudden appearance of them, that Ni-ki had to nudge his arms for him to shut his gaping mouth.

"You guys... are here." Your eyes softened at the sight of your bestfriends. Not even two, but the three of them, all of them are here.

No matter how unexpected their presence are, you cannot lie that you are glad that they came. You just automatically feel safe and less panic over the current situation compared to before.

"Once again any nonsense comes out from your mouth, I will not stay still." Jake, who usually is the most calm among the four of you, shows his rare side today as he can be seen pretty fired up.

Synopsis :

Damn it, that was close. You sighed in relieve as you get back to your chair after finishing your project presentation.

You'll blame yourself so bad if the presentation of the project that you and your team have worked so much get ruined because of your unusual behavior.

You can't focus, and Jungwon notices it, as he is the one who saved you from continuing being absentminded in the middle of the presentation.

With you not responding to his text last night, Jungwon is convinced to ask you about your well-being directly. Although that is actually not what he wants to know the most, since he cannot lie that he's concerned plus curious at the same time about what Jay had to do with you.

He swear he only looked away for a split second to help his friend with whatever it is that she got on her hand, so why he suddenly lost you?

Aggressively collects his belongings and throw them inside his bag, Jungwon rushes out of the class in hurry while yelling. "Sorry, I gotta go!" Hoping that you haven't get too far.

Locking your phone after reading Niki's message, you stretched your hands on the table before putting them on one another and put the right side of your face on them.

Then again, you sighed.

Frankly speaking, you don't want to meet this Jay guy. And to be honest, you can just say no, as well as turn a blind eye over this matter. It's not like you have anything to do with it anyway, nor that you have responsibility towards it.

Not to mention the fact that you're actually not that close yet with Niki and Sunoo to have the excuse of meddling in the problem because your friends are involved.

You don't even know why you said that to Jungwon and so confidently decided to lend a hand. At this point you don't even know if you can help them at all.

It's just- there's something about this that bothers you. That makes you just cannot turn away so easily.

Based on your experience of having him as a partner in assignment projects, Jungwon is a reliable, calm, well-mannered, and to the point type of person. So seeing him struggling right now is rather unexpected for you.

You almost say a word about it when Jungwon suddenly blurted something. "I'm Jay's friend." He said.

You halted, and he continued. "...And a friend of Sunoo too, Niki, too. I also know Chaeri."

"Is this regarding of what happened the day before?" You hit the jackpot with your guess, as Jungwon instantly looking at you in the eye.

Shoving your hands into your outer pocket, you lean back against the chair you're on. "Why don't you ask Jay himself? Or Sunoo, Niki, and even Chaeri. I thought you're friend of theirs?"

"Unless..." Jungwon sparkled at your hanged sentence. "Niki and Sunoo is involved. Since they're my friend."

"Same as what had happened to you. First she create a certain image that she wanted for you to have of her, then she makes you believe it. Once you have fallen for her charms, she took advantage of it."

"It's easier for her to tell lies if she already gets in your head." You rub your arms as you finished, knowing how terrible it must be for having such people around. "That kind of people is indeed dangerous."

"Not so harsh, I said." Jay stated firmly, but you did not budge an inch.

"You might have all day to continue this, or even a life time as well, but I'm not. With that being said, I'm going to the point, so you better listen carefully." You look straight to Chaeri's pupil when you continue. "First, your acting is good, but your drama is shitty."

Jay haven't finished his line, but you haven't finished talking either. "Second, if you think everyone like you, no they don't. They're just being nice."

But of course, things not always go the way we wanted. Yeah, shit happen sometimes. Especially when it's related to Chaeri, for her who always need to get what she wants.

"Oh, can I join you?" Chaeri said, and silence followed after. "We, actually. Me and Jay, can we join you guys?" She continued.

"What?" Sunoo slipped, eyes pierced straight to Chaeri's.

Sunoo can't believe she just said that. He, of course, know how shameless this person next to him can be, but he just didn't think that she actually would go that far. And seeing that there seems to be no sign of Jay wanting to meddle in this just worsening everything.

Dramatically gasping, you covered your mouth with both of your hands. "Oh my, you keep on concerning me. Are you really okay? Maybe you should go see doctor or something, I'm afraid you have some problem with your head?"

Chaeri can feel her blood boiling, this is not how it supposed to be!

She's so full of rage right now, but she doesn't want to give up just yet. She must have what she wants, and all that she wants right now is to bring the girl in front of her down, down so bad.

Slowly unhooking her arms, Chaeri started to cover her face. To everyone's surprise, she can be heard sniffling right after. And of course, Jay immediately come to rescue.

"I'm sorry... I'm such a dummy, hic, I'm so sorry..." Chaeri mumble between her, obviously, fake sobs.

Caress his girlfriend into his embrace, Jay trying to calm Chaeri. "Sssh, no it's not your fault. It's alright, don't blame yourself."

If someone told you that you're watching a live theater right now, you could have believed them instantly.

Jay then proceeds to look your way. "Can you refrain from being so harsh? Chaeri is soft-hearted."

Successfully prevent yourself from choking over the boy's remark, you're able to maintain your coolness.

"Seriously, hyung?" Niki suddenly interfere in the conversation.

"What, Riki?" Jay give the younger a sharp glare.

It took some moments for him to lets out a sigh, then continue. "I'm not even talking to you, just stay out of it."

Niki clenched his fist. It has always been like this, him being treated like a child nor not being taken seriously just because he is the youngest in the group.

It's actually okay since at least he has Sunoo, the only one who doesn't treat him in such way, but with the Chaeri thingy, he just can't put it up any longer.

He of course treasures the friendship a lot, he cherishes it so much. He meant it. But this—this is just too much. He need to end it right here, right now, once and for all.

Recieving a death glare right after, Niki can only chuckle and playfully apologizing while clinging onto Sunoo's arms. Enjoying the sight that appear before your eyes, you also let out a small chuckle.

And just like that, the three of you decided to go to a place that is pretty famous among the students in your campus. You've heard of it, sure, but of course it still feels awfully foreign to you to be at such place.

Remembering that you, Heeseung, Jake, and Sunghoon usually do a staycation to have some bonding time or simply just hang out at each other's place, you're clearly struggling a lot.

Deep inside your heart, you're glad that you go with Niki and Sunoo. At least you won't be lost in trying to find a way out of here later.

Talking about the boys, you are now feel a bit relaxed because you started to feel comfortable around them. It was all fine and everything went nice, until someone suddenly call Sunoo by his name.

It's a girl. With wavy hair that falls over her shoulder, on point make up, a cute dress and cheerful voice. Very pretty, you thought. But you must be the only one who think so, because you definitely hear either Sunoo or Niki mumbling, 'ah, crap'.

You keep thinking as the girl walk closer, something feels off. But what could it be?

"I didn't expect I'll meet you here!" Then her eyes laid to the person beside Sunoo, of course she actually also had notice him from afar. "Oh, and there is Niki too~"

You mean, isn't this girl is the sweetest ever? Like, look at her go! She got you mesmerized. You're not really sure if it's the way that her visual is just too much, the way she dressed so gracefully, or the way she smelled so nice.

Or perhaps... it's the trophy boyfriend that truly got you mesmerized. The visual is chef kiss, the outfit suits him really well, and the cologne he's using made you wondering that you should probably get one too.

It's not clear whose fault is it that now the both of you met each other's eyes, whether it's you who got too busy admiring the sculpted face of the man that stand before you and therefore eventually reached his eyes, or it's him that can't help but stunned with the not-very-eye catching-appearance yet strong presence of yours thus led him to analyze every inch of you before eventually reached your eyes.

But neither of you did stop there.

With eyes locked, mouth slightly gaped, and breath held, not any of you realized that plenty of seconds have passed. It's almost feel like something have strucked you. There's just something about his eyes—that you unfortunately cannot explain yourself—that made you stuck in your current state without fail.
