Bevel had an awesome time on the Lost Light. First they watched Harry Potter 2 and Buzzsaw is going to try and make moving pictures like they have at Hogwarts and Rodimus promotioned her to Captain.

Her new official title is now Captain Chief Princess Engineer.

And then Thundercracker and Starscream showed up and she got to sit with them for the rest of the movie and then they watched Monster University and Bevel learned what trespassing is (and that it’s illegal), that sometimes the good guys lose, and that you have to work hard for the things you really want.

Then Thundercracker and Starscream kidnapped her.

Best. Night. Ever.

The stretches of absence from his newly forged family was surely a poor choice on his part, but what else could he do?

“I cannot promise that, Bevel,” he admitted quietly, easing himself back against a wall. Guilt wracked his processors. “But-” his helm craned downward to speak to the purple and blue youngling that was nestled under his chin, “I will be spending more time here than previously. I have missed you too much.”

Long used to Ratchet’s methods of dealing with her tantrums, Bevel found herself at a loss of how to deal with Optimus speaking so quietly in the face of her temper.

“Not fair,” she protested before going limp and glaring at the wide expanse of his shoulder from her high perch.

After a few seconds of silence, she asked quietly, “Do you want to see my sculpture? Buzzsaw said my welding is getting really good.”

You did something I would not have been able to, and for that, I am insurmountably grateful.

The moment she felt one of those hands grab her, she whined and kicked out before clinging more firmly to him, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and hauling herself up close enough to bury her face into the wiring. The position was uncomfortable but she didn’t care and curled herself against him with a discontent whine.

“Do not leave again. Promise.”

The bump of a tiny fist colliding with blue armor caught his attention, thinking it was Rigel having another fit, but when purple and blue met him, he gave a frown.

“That hurt,” he rumbled. It didn’t, but he wasn’t about to encourage fist fights.

She was certainly angry enough, but the defiant glare turned into a sheepish rumble as she looked at the floor.

“I got sick,” she whined. “I got sick and Mother said you had to stay in Iacon and Rigel could not even visit and I wanted you. Not fair.”

Measurements: L. with scabbard 33 1/8 in. (84.1 cm); L. without scabbard 31 ¼ in. (79.4 cm); L. of scabbard 26 ¾ in. (67.9 cm); W. 5 5/16 in. (13.5 cm); Wt. 24.1 oz. (683.2 g); Wt. of scabbard 12.5 oz. (354.4 g)

The sword is exceptional for the gold decoration inlaid on its blade, which includes a date and an inscription identifying the artist as “Muhammad Salih of the state of Terumon in the village of Payung.” While the place names appear to refer to the Malaysian Peninsula, the form of the hilt, blade and scabbard are distinctive to a region of northern Sumatra inhabited by the Aceh and Pakpak peoples, suggesting the sword was made in Sumatra and then decorated in neighboring Malaysia.
