Big fan of the isekai trope of getting reborn into some position of power and the main character just wants to live a relaxed comfortable life but realizes that in order to do so they need to do a shit load of work to improve the material conditions and lives of those under them and only after that will they get to live the life they want.

"Maybe I'll be evil this playthrough," I think stupidly as I continue to pick every good and nice option because in my fantasy, the world is kind and full of second chances. Everybody gets the best ending in the slow slide-show that plays before the end credits and maybe if youre lucky a cute epilogue that includes all the wacky side quest adventures.

Finished MHGU Village and its quickly becoming one of my favorite Monster Hunters. While a part of me yearns for the menu and ui changes of World and onwards everything else about GU is an absolute blast. Monster Roster is incredible. The Hunter Styles and Arts make it so theres so many different ways to shake up how you hunt and its fun seeing how a bunch of it gets repurposed in later games. Also Valstrax is undeniably a fucking cool monster and rivals some of my favorites from Rise. Time to move on to hub and g-rank for me, ive heard a lot of great things about the G-rank final boss and am excited to fight it for myself.
