𝐃𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃; if this were his ship it shouldn’t matter who had cleared it. It was up to it’s pilot whether or not it was ready to go; and it clearly wasn’t. A sharp and silent sigh behind his helmet as he set to work. First thing was first, he had to find the source of the problem. While he started that task the Mandalorian was also already filtering through various solutions to the issue. If the ship was cleared before take off then obviously the problem was either too small to have been noticed or it had happened fairly recently. Either way it was somewhat good news. It was probably going to be an easy fix. “First thing you need to do is relax.” Din said thoughtfully, ignoring any kind of indignation the other might be attempting to throw at him, “The problem is most likely very simple. You just have to look...”

𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋   𝐇𝐄   𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓   𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆   ──   but   the   Mandalorian   warrior   didn’t   need   a   self   explanatory   declaration   about   the   problem,   he   needed   a   solution.   “Is   that   right...”   he   murmured   absent-mindedly,   shedding   himself   of   his   bulkier   weapon   and   shuffling   his   way   down   below   to   get   a   proper   look   at   things.   It   was   as   he   suspected,   the   radiation   negator   was   indeed   nonfunctional.   “You   said   there   wouldn’t   be   any   problems   on   this   job.”

When  the  blaster  fire  stopped  the  only  two  who  remained  standing  were  Din  and  Boba.  ‘Damn  stormtroopers’  the  taller  of  the  two  said  under  his  breath,  scouting  the  fallen  bodies  of  the  ghost  soldiers  from  a  phantom  Empire.  He  stuffs  his  blaster  in  its  holster  and  turns  to  Boba.  “Your  timing  couldn’t  have  been  better.”  he  comments.

𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐆 !

He  left  his  ship  behind  him  as  he  crossed  open  ground  to  approach  the  little  town  of  Mos  Pelgos.  His  return  did  not  go  unnoticed.  Many  curious  faces  popped  out  to  see  who  had  come  all  the  way  out  here.  A  few  familiar  faces,  a  few  friendly  smiles,  and  a  few  who  simply  looked  away  and  continued  with  their  day.  Not  that  Din  minded.  He  knew  who  he  was  looking  for.  And  it  seemed  as  though  his  return  to  town  had  been  noted  by  just  that  very  person.  Cobb  Vanth  stepped  out  on  to  the  wooden  deck  of  dusty  cantina  they  had  first  met.  There  was  a  knowing  smile  growing  on  his  face.  The  Mandalorian  closed  the  distance  between  the,  stopping  right  before  the  step  of  the  deck,  “I  was  hoping  it  would  be  a  while  before  we  crossed  paths  again.”

𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊  𝐖𝐀𝐒  𝐌𝐄𝐓  𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇  𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄,  partly  due  to  the  fact  that  he  could  not  tell  if  the  other  was  joking,  partly  due  to  surprise  at  the  random  comment.  Din  studies  the  other  carefully.  Yes  that’s  what  he  thought.  The  comment  is  laced  with  amusement;  more  likely  made  out  of  boredom  rather  than  threat.  Still,  joking  or  not,  the  Mandalorian  does  not  return  the  joke.  His  mind  was  too  preoccupied  with  the  task  at  hand.  He  finally  turns  away,  “I  bet  you’re  smart  enough  not  to  try.”

𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑  𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐄𝐃  𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍  𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒  glance  up  at  the  other  even  though  they  are  tragically  hidden  behind  the  helmet  he  bears.  The  face  of  the  other  he  watches  at  is  also  hidden,  masking  the  expression  he  holds.  But  Din  was  accustomed  to  knowing  the  thoughts  of  those  around  him;  body  movement,  tone,  and  tensity  were  all  giveaways  to  those  who  knew  how  to  read  them.  In  the  case  of  Boba  Fett,  the  Mandalorian  was  more  than  fluent  in  the  elder’s  body  language.  His  shoulders  were  not  as  squared  as  they  once  might  have  been,  the  way  he  leaned  into  himself,  and  the  quieter  tone  he  took  —  Fett  was  allowing  himself  to  be  vulnerable.  A  precious  gift  to  be  given  from  the  other;  trust.  Knowing  the  value  of  this  trust,  as  he  valued  his  own,  Din  moved  closer  to  the  shorter.  They  looked  at  each  other  beyond  the  visors  of  their  masks,  burning  through  the  metal  and  straight  into  one  another’s  eyes.  He  leans  down,  pressing  the  beskar  of  his  helmet  to  the  helmet  of  Boba.  “You  doubt  me?”
