It’s so easy to slide into step with old allies. She’s worked with the spectres enough. It’s odd, the idea of not having the whole team—they had been such a singular unit the whole time she’d known them—but there’s no such thing as unwelcome help in a crisis. They’ve done weirder jobs.
Ahsoka hasn’t stopped, and she does know that Sabine can keep up, so she doesn’t slow down as she follows her map. She does smile over her shoulder, though.
❝ I know, it’s like disaster follows me around. Good to see you, too, Sabine. ❞ Ahsoka chuckles. She gestures her head down the main road, ❝ —and yes, there’s a location marked near us, just over in Cotes. I figure we can look out for allies, and see if we can help anyone that needs evacuation on the way, since that should be a high priority too. I’ll need to see the area before I can propose a better plan, though. What have you got for equipment, right now? ❞
While she would rather have her whole team, Sabine didn’t mind Ahsoka’s leadership. She’s seen enough battle and fighting to overshadow Ezra and Kanan’s experiences entirely. The Mandalorian kept up with the togruta, her pace matching Ahsoka’s with ease. “So just another day at work, huh?” Sabine’s helmet nodded, smiling beneath it as she continued to follow Ahsoka.
“Not a whole lot,” Sabine informed her, showing her piddly little toy blasters. Her disappointment can be seen even with her helmet on. “Might as well be nothing at this point. But hey, you’re with a Mandalorian. And we mandos know how make the most out of a sour situation.” Mandalorian ingenuity and experience is all she needed at this point and with Ahsoka taking point, she had confidence in this budding little operation of theirs.
