Arksoo, The Runekean Berserker

“What - Arksoo, what’s going on? Did something happen to the cubs?”

Voice tapers into more squealing as he practically pounces on the Warden.

He looked up at the other Runekea from his spot on the couch - well, what was left of it. “[Why would there be a problem? I’ve heard fans of such music are cordial, if a bit loud. I doubt anything is going to happen to either of us.]”

"[Arksoo, that… that is not possible. Even with that brief stint as mortal, I highly doubt that I would be capable of…]"

"[I wouldn’t have thought it possible either, you have been dead a long time, but she’s showing all the signs. Beaching, increased diet, increased drive, somehow being more broody than usual how did you not realise!?]”

"[It can’t be possible. As far as I can tell, those systems are human, mine aren’t, shouldn’t there be some sort of compatibility issue?]" He brought his hands up, and began tapping his fingers together with little metallic ‘clicks’. "[A body as old as this one shouldn’t even be capable - this should not be happening.]"

"[Maybe there’s enough Runekea left in both of you, I don’t know.]" Arksoo rolled his eyes a little as he said this. "[What matters is not how it happened but that it happened. I don’t think she’s realised yet. She’s not acting like it. You need to tell her. And you need to tell her how it’s going to work. Our pups aren’t like human pups.]”

Other than Arksoo and Jen, I have yet to run into any other Runekea - let alone organized scouting parties.
