(Greetings my loyal followers. Pardon me while I clear out the dust and cobwebs. I never meant to be gone for so long. Blame a lack of motivation due to mental issues and outside distractions.

In any case, I’m back. It’ll still be a bit until I am able to get back to posting actual updates, but I will be. Since the sketcher for the blog is currently at Trotcon and I personally will be attending Bronycon once again this year (and my sketcher will be attending a day there before school obligations drag her away), I won’t make any claims on actual updates until mid August at the earliest. 

Never fear though. I do have some unfinished sketches set aside for just such an occasion (again, blame depression induced apathy/lack of motivation for why I hadn’t touched them until now) and will be working on those to post in the mean time. 

I’ve also completely nuked the inbox and am accepting new questions now. Some might get a text reply while others may get saved for an image update!

(So, I realized that I kinda mucked up and was probably a bit over-complicated with the commission rules before. After some thinking, I’ve adjusted the prices a touch.

Payments are only to be made after we’ve given you a prelim sketch and you give the okay on that. 

Also, not doing a “five of each” thing, ten slots open total. When filled, I’ll make a note. Once those are done, more will open up. Hope this makes things easier for you all.

What incident you ask? The incident that brought about Dinky. The incident that brought about the one @$#! good thing from my relationships. If there is one good thing I can say about relationships, it’s this: Every now and then, a happy accident can happen that changes your life completely.

This is why Cherry was worried. This is what I worry about with her. I don’t want her to have the same stresses that Berry and I had. She still has dreams that she can pursue if she wants. We don’t.

(Greetings all my wonderful followers! Your everyday normal mod here. First off, let me say that I hope you all had a wonderful and happy Christmas and I hope you got what you were hoping for (for those that celebrate it anyways) and I hope the rest of the holiday season will be good to you.

Now for the important part of this.

Something I never brought up when it happened, but was the cause of a lot of stress early in the year, was that grandmother came very, very close to passing away on us. 

Back in the second week of April, she had gone into the hospital for pneumonia. Simple enough, it’s almost a yearly thing and I’ve at least kinda gotten used to it. However, this time was different. 

A week later, after she had recovered from the pneumonia and was about to be released, she collapsed. She had become severely paralyzed from her feet all the way up to her lungs and had to be rushed to the ICU and put on a ventilator to help breath.

As it turns out, she had contracted a very rare disease called Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a type of autoimmune disease that attacks the nerves. Normally it takes a few days to spread, but it was an almost immediate onset with my grandmother.

Needless to say that it was a very trying time for my family, especially my mother who was the main one doing anything for her. 

To make a long story short, she did recover and has been home for a little over a month now. However, she still has a hard time getting around and needs someone around to be there in case anything happens and to prepare her meals during the week. That someone happens to be me.

Unfortunately, this keeps me from being able to even consider looking for a job. While I do get compensation, it happens to be from my grandmother since no program will assist and is only about $125 a month.

So, we’re talking not even a quarter of minimum wage for my state for basically doing 40 hours a week of taking care of a family member for an indefinite period of time.

Now this is where it becomes extremely relevant to the blog. I have been considering ways to supplement this income and one thing that constantly pops up is Patreon. I’ve always kinda shied away from it because, let’s be honest, I’m no artist or video creator or musician and the meager writings I do on my other blog are hardly worth asking for donations for.

That situation is different now. This brings up a very important question: If I were to set up a Patreon, what kind of rewards would you like to see? What kind of tiers?

Please keep in mind that I don’t draw at all and am merely an inker and colorist. Any suggestions and advice is very appreciated. I apologize for the long post as well, but background information was needed.

Honestly, you’re acting like it’s been over a month since we talked. It’s only been like thirty seconds. Could you be any more impatient?
