r. r. chicago’s unofficial and biased guide to getting into scenario smp
i was trying to recruit a mutual into becoming a scenario smp fan and i realized i have a very specific way of telling people how to start watching scenario smp stuff that i also really suck at explaining. so here’s my guide that’s 99% based on how i got into it
a good starting step is to watch some of the youtubers associated with scenario smp (okrobert currently has the main 7 linked on his channel so i recommend going there). not entirely necessary imo but it’ll help you be more familiar with everyone.
when it comes to actually looking at scenario smp, i’d personally recommend starting with forge labs’ minecraft’s best players simulate the purge from purge 1, then his videos from purge 2 and purge 3 (minecraft’s best players simulate the purge again and minecraft’s best players simulate a cold war). after that start branching out to the other creators and other scenarios. it doesn’t really matter who you actually start with though but i do recommend going in a somewhat chronological order with the scenarios

-game of thrones/medieval
-evolved zombie apocalypse
-chernobyl/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (this one’s my favorite :D)
lost world smp has a few people from scenario smp, and isn’t technically part of it, but is definitely worth checking out if you like scenario smp

-okrobert (my favorite!!)
-legundo (he stopped showing up after the dnd scenario but he was still a super important part of the earlier days)
-it_ryan (he’s not in the most recent scenarios and im unsure if he’ll come back)
-kiply (she’s in a lot of scenarios but only has videos from a few of them)
-gerd (pretty new addition)
-protagnst (very inconsistent presence but i like him so im including him) (also even though he’s only in a couple scenarios, all of his events are super reminiscent of the scenarios just with a lot more people so i highly recommend checking him out anyways)
the first four are in every scenario while the others are in most or some of them, though robert doesn’t have videos of the first couple scenarios but he is there
