In hindsight, not as well as we would’ve liked probably. But it was pretty much the final straw for us after a series of unfortunate events on Dusty’s end. He was acting out of character, and while it was understandable, it wasn’t acceptable. So when he broke the news we both snapped. The thought of my child having a child before he was ready and with someone he wasn’t in a committed relationship with scared me. But, once we were able to process and get our emotions under control, we had more productive conversations about what we were going to do. And Dusty’s completely blown my expectations away through all of this. So definitely a complete turnaround from that moment to now ☺️

My kids call me pops and tate calls me pop pop. So no. I didn’t find the naming process to be as difficult as someone else made it seem.

I’m great! Tater has stolen all of our hearts, of course, but I’m too young to be a…”G” word. I suggested that Tate should call me “big daddy” instead but that didn’t stick because I’m stuck in a household of haters. We went with Pépère instead, but it comes out as “Pepe” from Tate.

I had been going with my friends quite a bit so we talked about it and figured that it would be a good option lol. It’s only about 40 minutes from campus which isn’t too bad. My end goal this season is to maybe get my foot in the door with some sports marketing experience 🤞🏻

Marketing and communications! Originally I thought I wanted to go into social media marketing but now I think I might be interested in sports broadcasting. We’ll see!

No, I go to UT! I definitely needed to branch out a little, experience life in a different city. Austin’s only a couple hours from home, but it’s been good to me so far ☺️ Pops got me season tickets to the Texas Stars games so I still have a piece of home with me at school lol

The BEST little sis!! She’s my mini bff and it is SO nice being able to do things with her now that I didn’t normally get to do when growing up in an all guy household 🥹❤️ Although I do feel bad that I’m in college now, leaving her with the guys 24/7, but we make up for lost time when I’m home!!

I’ve been doing great! Still single and childless 😂 Junior year of college just started so I’m busy as can be again!

Oh man. I don’t know if I can pick just one thing. This is gonna sound so cliche but he literally changed my world. I have a new purpose and huge responsibility to do right by him. I just love him so bad. Can’t imagine life without him that’s for sure!

Riley is loving the aunt life. She spoils him rotten when she’s home from school. The little kids (EJ and Berk) don’t fully understand their roles with Tate, so they kind of treat him like a sibling. EJ’s so responsible already though, so he’s been an amazing role model for Tate. I’m lucky to have this crew helping me out. It takes a village!

He’s good! Got drafted to the NFL and I’m super proud of him but never doubted it for a second. So he’s living in Tennessee these days. But FaceTimes all the time because he likes his godson more than he likes me now

Lol yeah I didn’t think about that before picking his middle name. Just knew I wanted to honor my best friend in Tate’s name somehow. So we stick to calling him Tate, Tay Tay, Tater Tot, and I’m sure the list will continue to grow.

Kind of a long story, but his mom is not in the picture. She gave up her rights after he was born. She gave him his first name though, I guess she wanted to leave him with something. But yeah his name is Tate Jason Benn-Seguin and he just turned two. Yes, I picked his middle name, and yes I chose my guy Jason to also be his godfather lol

Yeahhh. Safe to say they were not expecting to upgrade to that title as soon as they did. It was super tough at first, I mean it’s still tough now but we’ve adjusted for sure. It’s definitely made me closer with my family, so I appreciate that. My pops and I have never been closer to be honest
