Brendan Sagalow did his first headlining gig at Caroline’s last night and I couldn’t be prouder! I’ve known him since high school and he’s always been funny but he brought out his best stuff yet last night! Confident, cool, and most of all absolutely hilarious! Every obstacle that came his way he managed to make his act even more hilarious! We all left with tears in our eyes! Kudos to @rosebudbaker, @iammikecannon and @iammikefeeney who were all incredible openers for the show and each hilarious in their own right! Last but not least, we had a surprise appearance by Amy Schumer who did a ten minute set; second time she made a surprise appearance at a Caroline’s show I was at (the last being Dave Attell). However, Brendan was still the crowd favorite and was easily the funniest of the night! If you haven’t seen Brendan live yet, make sure you go before he’s selling out Madison Square Garden! Ariel and I went to Lincoln Center to see the New York Pholharmonic perform Dvořák, Sibelius and Tchaikovsky with my grandparents and it was stunning! Manfred Honeck is such a great conductor and Nikolaj Znaider is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest violinist I’ve ever heard! (at Lincoln Center)

Happy Birthday to my favorite person and the love of my life! We’ve had such a wonderful year together settling into our house and coming closer together as husband and wife! I’ve learned and continue to learn so much from you and with you! I’m having so much fun building a life with you every second of every minute of every day of every month of every year! Time has only made you more beautiful, more determined, more intelligent and more inspiring. People could only hope to be a sliver of the person you always show to the world. Picked up a few bottles of hot sauce at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo! I had to get The Last Dab just to see if I can handle it (I probably won’t be able to) Bacon Taco (because I need something for my breakfast burritos) and Rudy’s Hot Smoked Red (simply because it’s delicious)!

I went to the NYC Hot Sauce Expo and not even a minute inside and I meet Sean Evans of First We Feast/Hot Ones! Without a doubt one of the best interview shows! 🔥🌶🔥 (at NYC Hot Sauce Expo)

Started off the day celebrating Record Store Day! I managed to get Adam Sandler’s “They’re All Gonna Laugh At You!”, Patton Oswalt’s “Annhilation”, Rage Against The Machine at the 2000 DNC Convention, and “Free To Be... You And Me”. As a free bonus, I also got a few pins, a poster, a tote bag, a CD sampler and a Van William 7”! Thank you to Looney Tunes for being the best place to go to every year on RSD!
