âAh, yeah, Iâm fine. Â Iâve dealt with worse, in all honesty.â Â Whit took his homework back from her, smoothing out the paper on his lap. Â No damage done, it seemed. Â It wouldnât be the first time heâd turn in crumpled homework, and he doubted it would be the last. Â A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as she laughed at his question.
âMmm, sounds like you need to keep treats on youâŚor stop feeding strays.â  Whit stood up and brushed stray grass off of his pants before hold out his hand to pull her up as well.  âI hope you didnât hurt yourself when you came crashing into me.  Like I said, Iâm pretty used to getting smacked around but you really, uh, came down kinda hard there.â
âAnyway, Iâm Whit. Â Itâs nice to meet you erâ despite the circumstances.â Â He let out a light laugh, bending down to shove his homework into his backpack before shouldering it. Â Glancing at her bag of laundry, he hummed. Â âSo I guess youâre going to have to go back around and wash all that again, huh? Â If Iâd only been sitting a few feet to the right you totally wouldâve made that jump and been home free.â
seulbi nodded along; she guessed there could be worse things than being someone elseâs (and their laundryâs) landing pad...sheâs taken a few tackles and body bombs from her younger sisters herself over the last decade. thankfully, taekwondo had toughened her bones up some so she didnât bruise quite as easily anymore. ânext time iâll be sure to carry around emergency bread,â she assured with a grin, taking his hand with a following â--thank you.âÂ
at him checking on her own well-being, seulbi rubbed the back of her neck, gaze shifting momentarily, sheepishly towards the clouds. âwell...there was some cushioning,â she chuckled, another apology laced in tone--he had broken most of her fall, after all, even at the price of her laundry toppling over.Â
âiâm seulbi,â she beamed, fetching the last stray sock for the load. âsorry about everything again, i shouldâve looked before i jumped.â at that moment, she had just been a bit pressed for time. at the mention of having to clean everything again, she shrugged a little, practical hearts in her eyes as she thought about it. âi donât mind. doing laundry is so peaceful. everything is so warm and smells so nice when it comes out!â she was a big fan of softeners and detergents...which was probably odd, but when you practically had to raise your younger siblings for ten years, the trait of loving housework certainly came in handy.Â
âyou...go to kiseki academy, right?â the familiar homework was a hint, but sheâs beginning to recognize him slightly. not everyone has that color hair.
