I stumbled upon TicciMask discourse on Twitter and can I say it's the most stupid shit I've ever seen.

If you'd take more than 5 minutes to do research, you see that Toby's age is both fluid to the user and the creator doesn't really care mostly(I remember seeing something about them confirming that Toby has aged with us, but that's a bit fuzzy so DON'T quote me on that)—

But either way— If we can write fanfiction of him, and selfship + yume, why can't we ship him with another full grown adult. Toby is a full grown adult. Masky/Tim is a full grown adult.

In any sense, just don't draw Toby as a child with Masky/Tim and it's not a big deal? I fear that's common sense 😭 it becomes an issue when you depict him as a teen(-19).

I really don't know why I'm entertaining this shit that's going on with Twitter, it's full of bullshit over there anyways I fear.

I don't even ship TicciMask(or much of any of them), but you gotta be really ignorant to call TicciMask a "proship" or wtv.

youre absolutely right. id even go as far as to say that infantilizing the grown man with adhd is ableist lol. plus the "tim is an old father figure" feels like blatant mischaracterization if you've watched marble hornets. why would he be around any of them / care for them like a father?? let alone toby

ive seen people confidently state that you are "weird" if you ship ticcimask because "tim is like tobys father." thats always just been a (really dumb imo) fandom interpretation. theyve never even interacted. in the fanon depiction of masky that kastoway did portray, they never have any sort of mentor/mentee relationship. its more of a rivalry.
