What is SmartLipo Triplex SmartLipo Triplex uses the third generation of SMART-Lipo technology for liposculpting and relies on energy of three laser wavelength to dissolve stubborn fat while tightening skin. The technique uses all three frequencies to achieve more precise results, with less downtime and trauma. An internal temperature probe at the tip of the laser fiber accurately measures the temperature inside the tissues and shuts off the laser once a desirable amount of heat has been deposited. It is critical for success and safety to gently heat up the tissues to achieve skin tightening and yet to avoid a burn of the overlying skin.

How is SmartLipo Triplex different from other procedures? The SmartLipo Triplex uses two lasers operating at three different frequencies, offering a number of advantages over other treatments, including:

Who is a candidate for SmartLipo? Any individual has deposits of fat which are resistant to diet and exercise can be a good candidate for theSmartLipo Triplex technique. Ideal candidates are in good health and are within 20 to 25 pounds of their ideal weight.

What areas does SmartLipo Triplex improve?  The SmartLipo Triplex procedure has been designed to effectively treat fatty tissue which is located in many areas of the body, including: • Abdomen • Back • Butt • Inner and outer thighs • Arms • Neck • Chin It can also be used to treat gynecomastia (enlarged male breasts).

How is the procedure performed? First, the treatment area will be thoroughly cleaned. Next, a dilute local anesthetic is injected to numb the area. Once numbed, a very small incision is made near the treatment site. The SmartLipo Triplex specially designed cannula, or tube, will be inserted through the incision directly into the treatment area. A laser at the tip of the cannula will be fired multiple times to break up fat deposits, and then a suction cannula will be used to suction out the resulting liquid. Duration of the procedure depends upon the number of areas treated.

What is the recovery like?

Recovery is reduced with the SmartLipo Triplex system, since there is less trauma to the treatment site during the procedure. You may have some some  swelling and bruising, which will resolve within a few days. You may be given a compression garment to wear as an aid in healing. Most men and women are able to return to work within one to two days following the procedure.

What will the results be like?  You’ll see the first results of the procedure within a week or so of your treatment, and can expect to see visible improvement in those results for weeks or even months afterward, as your skin and your body accommodate your new contours. Generally, the more fat which is removed, the longer it will be until you see the final results, with some improvements occurring four to six months after treatment especially large amounts of fat are removed.
