rashtaās relationships with men is genuinely one of the most heartbreaking things in TRE. people hated rashta for knowing that she was beautiful and trying to use it to her advantage. people hated rashta for acting cute or being a āpick meā towards men. she was a slave with nothing to her name; no education, no friends, no family. the only thing she had ever been desired for was her beauty. the only people who have ever treated her ākindlyā was those men who desired her beauty. everyone else (with a few exceptions being people that sovieshu employed to serve her) pretty much treated her like shit. the only way life has ever taught her to survive or receive better treatment is by appealing to her predators.
free my girl she did all that shit but the fandom is mischaracterizing her for it
free my girl she has the same character traits as a male character but is getting deemed a bitch for them
free my girl she acted irrationally in a situation where it was impossible to act rationally and is now being hated for it
iāve been seeing more people waking up to how the true villain in TRE have always been the men instead of rashta or krista and itās so satisfying. also lots of people starting to notice how boring TRE is without rashta because she was the only character who experienced real struggles and had complex and interesting personality.

If evil then why pretty?
women! be difficult! be mean! theyāre gonna hate you either way!
women be difficult and mean even if you'll be loved for being demure and meek! ESPECIALLY if they love you for being meek! that's not true acceptance and that's certainly not true love!!
I cannot relate to people who dislike female characters for ābeing manipulative.ā Sheās literally creative problem solving before your eyes. Sheās literally just using her words. Maybe the other blorbos should be less pawn-like for her beautiful hands hmm
When male characters, especially white male characters, are manipulative: DARK ROMANCE KING š
When female characters are manipulative: That [slur]y [slur] š¤
I find it extra cruel of the author to rob Rashta the joy of motherhood whereas giving MC the opposite treatment. Rashta never got to be a happy mother. Her first pregnancy was cruel memory filled with trauma and the second one got ruined because of the past trauma. I'm sorry am I supposed to feel glee at her misery? Cause I don't take any joy in it. All I want to give her is a warm hug.
So heartbreaking that the 'death' of her first child traumatized rashta so much that she couldnt even hold her newborn daughter without getting ptsd. and the fact that no one investigated her odd behavior and just deemed her unfit to be a mother and stripped her of the right of being allowed to care for her own child

iām sad because rashta is so sweet and cute. when she misunderstood and thought duke ergi was having an affair with heinrey, she was prepared to be supportive and kept their affair a secret. when navier first revealed her relationship with heinrey, rashta was immediately worried about ergi first because she thought they were in love. she really saw ergi as her only friend while he was using her and doing his best to harm her because..? he held a grudge against sovieshu. rashta didnāt even do anything to him yet she became his punching bag⦠sovieshu was still the king in the end, while rashta.. is dead. because she never had a friend before and didnāt know any better.
since some of u lack critical thinking i am going to be generous and give some hints:
rashta is NOT responsible for whatever tf happened to ergi in the past. neither directly nor indirectly
rashta as a runaway slave who lives in a country where slavery is accepted and normalized is in NO WAY comparable to a noble lady who became the emperorās mistress. if u think she can refuse sovieshu and he will still annul her slave status out of the goodwill of his heart, u are a fool.
if u ever blame a mistress for whatever tf the EMPEROR, the most powerful person in the country does, u are braindead and a misogynist
if u defend ergi and think his behavior is āunderstandableā (i.e., pretending to be someoneās friend to use her and stab her in the back, misdirecting his anger towards an innocent woman who was a victim of slavery, hating mistresses and blaming WOMEN for something a MAN does, etc.) u are also braindead and a misogynist
please check urself and why u have those kinds of thoughts and why u feel the need to be sympathetic towards a pathetic scheming man who effectively has done nothing for his own ārevengeā other than kill an innocent unrelated woman instead of being sympathetic towards the woman he actually got killed.
and in case i didnāt make it clear enough and there are still people who entertain thoughts like āi can be sympathetic towards bothā, let me clarify that i think u are an idiot and i do not want to hear whatever u want to say. please leave, post ur own thoughts on ur own blog where u can bond with other braindead misogynists who make a million excuses for a man to act shitty.
youāre welcome.

female characters shouldnāt have to be a āsmart kind pretty queen girlbossā to be liked. let female characters have flaws. let female characters be mean or cowardly or vicious or have a terrible personality. let female characters kill people. let female characters be ugly or have scars or have terrible sense in fashion. let them show weakness and cry. forgive female characters. cry over their trauma and make excuses for their actions. praise female characters for the bare minimum. love female characters even at their worst.
to be honest i used to like navier when i first read TRE, but her character quickly became mary sue and the author justified many atrocities just bc they benefitted navier. meanwhile for any mistake rashta made (or even when it's NOT EVEN HER OWN MISTAKE, like her being unable to read or memorize quickly) rashta gets overly criticized and punished, which made me more and more sympathetic to her. in the end, rastha is a much more complex character, with both good sides (which are often overlooked) and bad sides (which are often exaggerated), she is a way more interesting character than navier but unfortunately is doomed for bad end bc she is treated as the antagonist by the misogynistic fandom.

people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does. for every hated female politician, for every hated female historical figure, for the women you know in real life and on and on.
it's 2024 and people still looks down on rashta for being a runaway slave. i thought we all agreed slavery is bad? but instead of feeling sympathetic towards rashta when it gets found out that she was enslaved, people treated it as a gotcha as if it was somehow her fault that she was enslaved. i've seen some says things like "ew the emperor is having affair with a slave", ARE U HEARING URSELF? i've even seen some people try to justify that they only enslaved criminals in that country so it's fine; NEWSFLASH: it is NEVER OKAY TO ENSLAVE A HUMAN BEING regardless of what they did, and it is even WORSE when the crime is something done out of lack of money. it's crazy how many people are willing to bend their morals and close their eyes on HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS just so they don't have to hold their oh-so-perfect empress navier responsible.
