So, even after the stress, grey hair, tears, temper tantrums its all worth it, unfortunately, I ended up in hospital just after my birthday with blood poisoning and I received a facetime call from my little boy that night crying for his dad and I tell you what, that feeling is best to none, not only that he wanted to sleep with his dad, he didn’t understand where I was and why I wasn’t there. My daughter phoned me in the morning to see if I was okay and if I was any better yet in her words. So, from a boy who didn’t have very much of a family I can finally say my life is complicated and stressful but my kids are everything to me and I wouldn’t change having them, nothing can beat the feeling of importance to a loved one. They are your future, they carry your name, teach them to make you proud and don’t miss out on too much. Life is too short. Blink and you miss a year I’m now 33 and my whole life has changed in just 5 years don’t let your life pass by you.

So, in basic principle, I’ve found out the idea’s you want to do they might not want to, so in short let them create absolute chaos, this includes playing hide and seek, while playing snakes and ladders, while stopping my little boy chasing the dogs up and down the halls with his police car. It's clear to see that the summer is well and truly over and now we have some of the finest Scottish weather, rain and plenty of it luckily for me my kids don’t mind getting wet and any excuse to go and jump in a muddy puddle is fine by them. So we were taking the dogs down near the river and my daughter decided she wanted to jump in this huge deep puddle, as she jumped I already knew what was coming the water went over the top of her wellie and flooded her foot inside, that was it the world was over, my daughter was doomed nothing could settle her screaming, crying, limping, the waterworks. The lot only stopped when I said I’d buy her some new socks. A note to myself she got me wrapped around her little finger!

So, we all decided to go shopping for the day…. Never again I was completely scammed out of everything, we originally went because it was my birthday it ended up being a shopping trip for the kids who don’t need anything but what my kids want they get it appears so, we finally arrive in Braehead just 2 minutes in my daughter needs a pee, right okay go to the toilet no problem but what do they have conveniently there,  2 pod things that cost £2 that rock forwards and backwoods for 30 seconds 2 kids 2 rides conned £4.00 only 2 minutes into being out. We then proceeded to Boots to replenish the shampoo and shower gel my boy had gotten hold of. Then it starts, my daughter has become abscessed with makeup over the last 3 months and since Halloween hasn’t gone away so she’s walking around picking up stuff we didn’t even see, then at the tills decides to show me her haulage it was only lip-gloss and some nail varnish so I caved again meanwhile just as I’ve finished paying my little boy had chowed down on a bag of crisps under the till, also then my daughter decided she was thirsty so had to go get her a fruit shoot in this time my boy had opened another bag of crisps, so he had opened 2 bags in the space of 20 seconds and that was an extra £5 just on pure crap.  

With college being a full-time course I’m out of the house a lot and can sometimes feel that you miss so much.  With me, I’ve always worked, and I’ve already missed a lot so being at home seeing how hard my little boy can be is a real eye-opener. Only yesterday I had bathed my dogs because he had decided to give them cuddles while his hands were covered in Dairylea dunker cheese, then today he decided to mix make-up all over a brand new carpet, peel the wallpaper off another wall and cover my home in shower gel and shampoo all over the wooden floor this shampoo thing is a weekly occurrence fighting my boy off the shampoo or shower gel but its normally just being poured down the bath he seems to find this hilarious. While my daughter on the other hand has become a small teenager even though she’s only 4 she is so independent now when we take the dogs out she wants the keys because she is bored and what’s to go watch her new obsession Ryan’s world, honestly I don’t even own a tv anymore its either YouTube or greys anatomy in my house and as soon as my PlayStation goes on for an hour then they all want to know what I’m doing, life is brutal.

So, it’s the run up to Halloween the kid's outfits sorted everyone else's apart from mine, so like any other person would in typical dad mode I looked towards the gods of Amazon prime. Sorted I thought easy morph suit Nope, a few days later I get an email sorry your item is out of stock. So, like any dad left it last minute and finished college ran into town while enjoying some of Scotland's finest rain. I stumbled across a little gem of a shop called Tam Shepherd trick shop found myself a joker's outfit right one job down one to go, I now needed to run for the bus to go and collect poppy from nursey and I didn’t have time to go home and get changed I'm soaked I've got rain in places people shouldn’t get rain. I'm now sat on bus the and its packed I mean rammed no place to move and I'm really needing the toilet so after pure stewing on a bus for 45 minutes I now needed to run to collect my daughter and get home for my son as he’s been at the childminders all day.
