even  as  a  child  mia  knew  what  love  was .        because  of  her  parents  and  their  love ,        it  was  obvious .        it’s  the  way  salvatore  looked  at  his  wife ,        how  his  eyes  seem  to  soften  when  he  watches  her  from  a  distance .        it  seemed  like  every  time  he  LAID  his  eyes  upon  maddalena ,        he’d  instantly  fall  in  love  with  her  all  over  again .        mia  remember’s  fondly  how  one  day  while  her  mother  cooked  dinner  in  the  kitchen ,        her  father  walked  into  the  kitchen  and  took  his  wife  by  the  hand .        a  distraction ,        while  the  food  continued  to  cook ,        salvatore  and  maddalena  slow  danced ,        she  laughed  and  her  father  said  to  her    :    “  oh  mio  tesora ,        how  you  just  weaken  me  with  those  eyes .        one  glance  and i  suddenly  feel  unsteady .        the  world  around  me  feels  like  it’s  spinning .        i  know  saying  thank  you  can  never  be  enough ,        but  i’m  a  fool  in  love  and  i  don’t  wish  to  be  saved .        because  a  world  without  you  is  not  worth  living .   ”
