She was pleased that for the moment, at least, her little lie had paid off. Aurora lived to be on people’s good sides, lived to be the girl of a thousand faces who could simultaneously have it all. “Oh, Bella, as if I could ever!” Aurora laughed, placing a perfectly manicured hand on Bella’s shoulder. “After all, we’re sisters, aren’t we?”
     "Definitely." Her lips twisted into a pointed smile: she liked Aurora, she did, but... there was something about the fellow fury that confused her. That was a thought for another time, though, and she quickly changed the subject. "So," she started, "You're coming to the party in a few days, aren't you? The one at my apartment? I'm sure the other tenants wouldn't mind a little noise." They probably would, but Bella didn't care.
