He didn’t feel like going to the cross. But He made a conscious decision to do so because He loves us that much. Godly love is simply saying, “Lord, You know I am not this way. I am not always thinking the best of every person. I am not always well-mannered. I am not always kind. I am not always longsuffering. But, Lord, I acknowledge my weakness and I want to change.” Romans 5:5 says, “The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.” Therefore, He will help us live a life of love.
