How great is it when a free piece of furniture lands your way and you can repurpose it? This end table had good bones however I was looking for a white vanity for my lavender bathroom.

First it needed primer since I was painting it from a very dark color (black) to bright white. I have found the Kilz Premium Primer has never let me down and is easy to work with and water soluble which makes clean up much easier.

After a good coat of primer and overnight drying the vanity is ready for the bright white enamel paint.

A blingy knob for the final touch...

And now all the creative touches and it becomes a great piece in my Victorian Farmhouse bathroom.

Two weeks in the farmhouse! Three rooms downstairs needed floors refinished and they are done! This was a DIY project and I could not have asked for better results. Zar ultra oil based polyurethane clear antique flat was my choice to be used on all three floors. I bought two gallons at a local hardware store. I shortly realized this would not be enough for three coats and I had bought the last two gallons from the local store! After many phone calls I was able to locate it at a hardware store 45 minutes away. They were so helpful and a day trip was made to pick up another four gallons (planning on upstairs floors in the near future).
