I cannot stress enough how important it is to speak up for yourself when someone is crossing your boundaries or dismissing your feelings. You are your biggest advocate. No one else can read your mind or feels what you feel.

Had a panic attack at work last night and this clerk noticed and he got really close and said "hey look at me, just you and me" and then kept talking like normal and I looked away again and he stopped and more firmly said "look.at.me." and it made me a lil wet ngl

Shoutout to internet friends. They are actually so important bc you connect with them through similar interests and even though they live half the world away you put effort into your friendship and talk (almost) every day and care about each other and it’s just so so nice. Unlike some of the school/uni friendships that are based on pure necessity and as soon as you graduate you never talk again because you don’t see each other. Shout out to all my peeps whose besties live thousands of miles away. Shout out to all my friends that I’ve never met, you make me happy and ily all dearly💙🌍

making friends (especially after you’ve lost a couple or several ones) can be hard and incredibly isolating. finding people we can connect and be vulnerable with is no easy task, so often we feel like it’s a moral failure when things don’t work out between us and someone else. just know there are so many people in this world you have yet to meet who will love you and it’s okay to drop all this heavy relationship baggage now. you’re not defined by the people you’ve lost.
