      “Don’t lie to yourself Bonnie,” Damon said smirking slightly as he watched Bonnie as she rolled her eyes, as he leaned back in his chair and placed the palm of his hands behind his head, “If you could barely stand me in english, you wouldn’t be here right now, am I right? ” Damon said as he winked at the young Bennett witch, “Dead languages might make this a little more fun though, you know how I get when I get bored Bon Bon.”

      “Latin, German,  you name it— I probably know it,” Damon said rolling his eyes subtly as he was in fact getting bored now.  

      Although Bonnie did tend to get on Damon’s nerves, he did certainly have a soft spot for the little Bennett witch, and he did make a promise to her late ancestor Emily to protect her family line, so Damon was always at a crossroad when it came to Bonnie getting on his nerves, but Bonnie was a definitely a strong woman and he admired her for that.

“I just happen to think that most of the people in this town would have been better off if she died with my parents.” His voice turned cold as he spoke, because - well. It was true, in a way, to him at least. It wasn’t like she’d helped his grief, either. The only thing she’d ever done was remind him that he wasn’t good enough, even if it was unintentionally. And he couldn’t forgive that when she didn’t even admit to it.

She wasn’t sure what shocked her more his comment on the dress that Caroline was currently favoring or the fact that he was checking in on her. Glancing back to the blonde she tried to ignore the warm feeling in her stomach. She wanted to stay angry with him, but she couldn’t. Instead she let out an exasperated sigh. “You don’t know Caroline, she’ll get the dress just because it’s too showy for the dance.”

She still stood by her decision to save Matt first, had Stefan not then she would be alive and Matt would be dead. She wasn’t sure she could deal with more loss. “I’m fine.” She lied. They both knew she wasn’t fine, she was starving unable to keep anything down. Stefan didn’t know and she wasn’t sure she wanted Damon to know either. After all she was pretty sure he’d throw an I told you so or two at her. 

Her face paled and she was pretty sure the disgust shown through despite her best effort to keep it off. “Stefan say’s I’ll get used to the taste.” Hopefully once she got used to it she’d be able to keep it down. 

      Knowing that something was different about Elena was an understatement because in fact Elena was different now. She was a vampire and there was no way she would ever be the same again, and it was all Stefan’s fault and Damon wouldn’t change his opinion for anything on the topic. If the roles were switched, Damon knew that he would have saved Elena first.

       “Oh I know Caroline, and I would think that bubbly vampire Forbes, you would think would notice that this dress isn’t a fashion statement, it’s a death-wish— death to Caroline being a fashionista,” Damon said smirking slightly as his piercing blue eyes glared into Elena’s.  

      Even though Damon knew that Elena would still stand by her choice of saving Matt first that didn’t mean that Damon had to respect it, and besides that fact. Damon could tell that Elena was lying, and he figured that she would known that he knew the truth that she was lying. Elena didn’t look well, she was clearing starving from whatever diet that Stefan had her on. It agitated Damon.

   ‘    ‘ “Enlighten me lushy pants,” Damon said smirking slightly as his hand which held his glass of bourbon tightly began to slowly swirling the bourbon within the glass. “Who exactly these days is a model of sanity? Plus you for one have no room to talk,” Damon said as he winked at her slightly as he stopped swirling his glass, and took a drink of the amber liquid held within.

“Don’t call Elena my sister,” Jeremy snapped immediately, face settling into a glare as he looked at the other male. “I don’t… She’s not my sister. And I don’t want anything out of my relationship with her. Not you being nice, not- nothing. Not anything. I try my best not to do anything that has anything to do with her, you know.”
