BEFORE THAN AFTER

BEFORE THAN AFTER was formed in early 2013 in Santiago, Chile, by Marcelo Grez (bass, synths) and Martina Petric (vocals, guitars). During that year the duo composed their first album “True Days”, on which they worked for five months to then record it at Triana Studios. The album was recorded and produced by Claudius Rieth with the collaboration of Jorge Fortune. BTA is characterized by its indie-electro-pop style (in english and spanish), full of synthesized sounds and energetic rhythms, ranging from eighties pop to alternative. Their aim is to propose a new sound for Chilean music, composing strong melodies and writing lyrics with content in order to transform every song into an experience. In April of 2013, “Tell Me Other Way”, one of the singles on their album, was chosen to be part of the soundtrack of "Videoclub", the latest film by the well-known chilean director Pablo Illanes, released at the beginning of 2014. Currently, BTA is preparing for the release of their album's debut in April of 2014.
